I'm on a roll now....

I'm baffled by County's decision.

What? They might make more noise than our home fans!

No, we'll give them 2000........

Who genuinely still made more noise than the home fans. Even at 1-0 down !!

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Just a thought...

Current capacity at BP is 9052 according to the book of Wiki.

If we were at home to (say) Wrexham, they would be getting 905 tickets.

And they would be incandescent at us.

PS I don't know what the Osmond end holds but I bet it's more than 905 so the away fans wouldn't even get the full stand.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect them to give them 2,000 or anything but that away end is split into two sections and they've only given Chesterfield one part of it. Could have easily been 1,000 or so as they've given that before this season. These Blues/Villa fans following Solihull obviously haven't been getting down there that often otherwise their average wouldn't be less than 2,000.

I feel for anyone that's put a lot of time/effort/money into following their side and then misses out on the playoffs. It's fine when it's your supporters and the tickets have gone to ST holders but when the stadium is being filled up with people out for a jolly who'll probably be dipping out on 87 minutes it's harsh.

If I was a neutral and looking to take in a game, not sure Solihull v Chesterfield would be top of my list.

How about Gateshead v Grimsby?

I wouldn't be bothered if we only gave the opposition the minimum 10% so we could accommodate more home fans in a play off game. The problem being that you can't have home and away fans in the Osmond, so may as well fill it with away fans.

They'll have a great day though. Not many away days where you get the excitement of having to hitchhike to the ground down a dual carriageway plus a drink in the lobby of a Holiday Inn Express.

Don’t the local old bill have a big say? So, for instance, notts plod may have advised/told Notts Co how many away tickets they can sell? I’m not saying I agree with that (I don’t), I’m merely offering a suggestion as to why they would turn down guaranteed income.

I did wonder about that as well and it would explain it...

If Notts Police said they would charge say 30k to police each 2000 fans above the 10% allocation then it's almost not worth the hassle County would have in terms of extra stewards, food, drink etc etc

But I have no idea if that is the case.
