I would have taken Taylor off much earlier and Jones much much much earlier - nobody really outstanding but only these 2 were shite. Plenty of effort and that was really needed today. Well done Town.

Never thought I would say this but I thought Lenny could have done better than Taylor today.

Was it Taylor's touch that sent McAtee away for his goal and then the one on one?

Against 10 men though, for what it's worth I like Taylor but when it was 11 v 11 he was pretty inconspicuous today.

Stockport literally would have bossed that game without the sending off. They looked much better on the ball than us, closed us down very well when we did have the ball and forced us into errors. They had a couple of bookings (LB and LCB) I believe so it cried out for us to attack that side and try get one sent off as them going down to 10 seemed the only way we would get something from the game. Shortly after the 2nd yellow they had one of them off with a straight red. Not gonna lie didn’t see it so no opinion. Rest of the first half seemed like let’s just get through till half time and re group which we did. Scored the goal then I felt we were always gonna get the 2nd. Was slightly worried in the last 5 they might pinch it and give there fans something to go home cheering about, but thankfully not. Good 2nd half performance, they will without a doubt win the league and probably do well in league 2.

Not gonna big any individual player up as I feel nobody really stood up in the first half but they all came together in the 2nd.

Credit to Stockport, they were a cut above in the first half, with or without 11 men. They are such a good side and hopefully will win the league. We did well to get to halftime still in the game.

Hursts bold(ish) move to bring JMD in place of Clifton and play two out and out wingers paid handsome dividends and we got on top and stayed there. Two excellent goals in their own way and in the end we did deserve it.

I am still casting nervous glances at the league table; it seems very tight and frustrating that both Dagenham and Torquay are still on our coat tails.

Another big week coming up but I really do fancy us if we can reach those playoffs, even if it is in 7th place.

Great 2nd half performance, just watched the post match Paul Hurst interview which usually sends me to sleep but have got to admit he was very honest about the game today, obviously because we won he would be more upbeat but the sending off was a big influence on how planned for the 2nd half. We rode our luck in the first half but what a great result for us today.

Dead Eye Dobbin stood motionless waiting, waiting, waiting for the ball to arrive. Back came the right foot, Down came the right foot, Bang ! Headlines around the world as the ball flew into the very top right hand corner of the goal.( Jim Dobbin scoring in the 89th minute for Town against Newcastle United away 24/10/1992 )

Never really noticed until today but plenty of empty seats below the old directors box in the Main Stand.

Is this the new scouting area because it was in row T in the Upper ?
