Personally wouldn't pay 50 quid for a tee shirt to advertise someone else's business, but if It's your thing and you're willing to pay for it, then go for it.

Think it's unremarkable whatever the cost.

I agree - walking around advertising somebody's beer is actually a bit embarrassing,

Surely we can do better than this to show off our great club?

It's nothing to do with the club, I think they have their own version.

It’s nothing to do with GTFC, it’s purely a collaboration they did with COPA who happened to make the retro shirts at town and many other clubs.

I really like them. Too expensive for me, but so are lots of other clothes that I'd wear if I could afford to.
I doubt they'll sell more than a couple of hundred of these, so £50 will probably only meet the production costs for a short run like that. I don't think they're ripping anyone off.

I’d also imagine they’re not expecting to shift that many either, hence the higher production costs and then retail price.

That said, I paid 65€for my Hellas Verona Scudetto anniversary shirt made by copa so probably a standard price or certainly around that price…

I agree with the above on price, this is an industry I’m involved in and when you consider that £50 Includes £8.50 or so of VAT - I would imagine they aren’t making much at all on these.

Don’t have an opinion either way, not my thing but good luck to them.. any business that has survived, never mind prospered over the last two years has my upmost respect.

I don't think they are looking to 'take advantage' of anything so much as make something and sell it to people who want it and feel it's worth the price they have set.

I'd see that as taking advantage of a need/demand in the market.  Fair play to them for doing it.

I can’t see these flying off the shelf at fifty notes

I’ve been in docks a couple of times but didn’t find it anything special but I can see their marketing is first class and almost creates a aura about the place. Is docks a Grimsby owned company or are the owners from Leeds ?
