I’m not sure Germans are that arsed about a rivalry with England but even Jackie Grealish isn’t winning free kicks.

Think the ref is doing ok, apart from the Phillips booking, he’s allowing the game to flow as instructed and not blowing for every tackle, probably time Sterling and Grealish learnt what the new rules are and stopped on their feet more often.

I must be watching a different game. To me the ref is trying to make amends for WW2, when Grealish was pushed down he gave nothing, likewise some throw-ins are iffy at best. The Poles seem to have been trained by all in wrestlers and a quality acting school.

England's performance has not been good so far little effort on goal, given the amount of possession they have had. Defensive they look ok but I get the feeling that the ref might fall for a Polish dive and give a pen.

I agree and know some very nice German people. What you do expect is an impartial referee who decisions can be understood, but when cameras show the ref got it wrong, well you have to wonder why.

If my banter is upsetting someone then I apologise as that is all it is. For the record, I have bought new Japanese cars for the last 20 and am not anti any race.

Not sure how the Polish player can whet looks like pinch Walkers face while the ref watches him do it.

This game will be decided on a refereeing error or mistake I think.

Thought we played really well so far under the circumstances, the Poles look like they are after winding us up.

Particulary Glik, wouldn't be surprised if he gets sent-off second half

England stepping it up a bit now. Sometimes worry about Sterling’s vision. Holds on to it too long sometimes.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Fabulous goal out of nothing by Kane.
