I hope we aren’t after Akinde if his current injury is “baffling” the doctors and scientists at Gillingham. SE says Akinde can feel an injury they can’t detect.

FWIW  i dont think he will be coming here , Two main reason for me are ,  As has been said  before a few times  he does not want to be up north. And hurst wont want another player that has an injury and will be on the treatment table from week 2 There is nothing to gain for me unless them two things change big style

You’d believe anything Evans says? Have a word, the mans a flipping disgrace and should be rotting in a prison cell and no longer be allowed anywhere near the game. He’ll be on the flipping dope before October…

I’m not sure Akinde will sign but I won’t take anything Evans says as remotely factual…

I don’t think we need to panic and buy a striker just yet if there is not the right player available or financially not viable.  Taylor and LJL will be back soon and we have several players like Sousa who could play off McAtee on Saturday.  I’d rather wait if there is not the right fit for Paul Hurst and if we have injuries in this position pick up someone on loan from a premiership/championship side who is keen to impress in the coming weeks.
No point paying money to 5 strikers when you only play 2.  
I trust the new owners and Paul Hurst and can’t wait for Saturday 👍😁 UTM

We have a goal scorer on the transfer list who is not being given a fair crack. He’s the most natural finisher we have had in the club for a while and has a seemingly good attitude.
Played a bit in a team that made no chances last season and for me could easily knock them away given the service.

It’s Ira  Jackson.  I liked him and think he deserves a run while we look for someone, might come good and save a few quid as he pretty cheap by all accounts.

I whole heartedly agree with this. Ira was a bright spark in a dull team last year. And has shown incredible character since being told he's not in our plans. Look I trust Hurst and rate his judgement very highly. But I honestly feel, as rare as it is, that he's getting this one completely wrong.
