"I don't listen to Twitter rumours..." but I'll start a thread on The Fishy based on one.

Seen a handful of fans saying on twitter they have heard that the game on Saturday could be postponed.

Apparently there are Covid cases at town and not all the players are double jabbed so those players who aren't double jabbed will be required to self isolate.

I don't listen to Twitter rumours but has anybody heard anything about this?

If true and I don't do twitter, would it be such a bad thing?

More time for our injured players to come back and more time for Hurst to find that elusive striker, just saying.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

We’ve had 6 weeks longer than anybody else apart from Southend, absolutely no excuse and I can’t see one positive on games being postponed

That’s nonsense and you know it…

I'm 28, and got my 2nd jab this afternoon.
And that's with having 8 weeks in between, instead of the usual 12 weeks which was recommended for under 30's i believe.

Only managed to get mine changed as suppose to be going to France end of September, and my original date meant we traveled 13 days after 2nd dose, and at the time, it had to be 14 days after to avoid quarantine in France!

Yes they have offered walk ins around town at certain times, but i've had mine booked from the day i was allowed, so i decided to keep my bookings

The rumours will stop when there back at school.

This is my thinking…we’ll see nonsense rumours like this all season. I also suspect we’ll see clubs struggling circumvent the rules too…

I was working at Skegness Town a couple of weeks ago and one of their officials was in the bar saying quietly to someone (but not quietly enough) that one of their players had Covid but they've just told the league he's in isolation so they could get the game on.

6 players double jabbed may be poor but how many are single jabbed? Yes I know they could technically have done it but around the time it could be done, player contracts were ending and they won't have known where they would be to get the second jab.

These rumours will get boring very quick but I think they will circulate quite regularly.

We had our first game postponed on Saturday as our team is predominately younger players who’ve not been double jabbed yet abs we’ve had positive cases in our camp.
Our next game away to Brackley is off on Saturday.

Going to be a long old season for everyone this

And if they’ve chosen not to then we have to respect that…my worry is Covid will become an excuse. Seems rather futile in wanting players vaccinated when they played for almost an entire season without needing it or bothering…remember when they cleaned the goalposts and balls?

There’s gonna be a time when we look back on all this and just laugh at the absurdity of it all…

I can't see anything from Kristine when I look, maybe I'm looking in wrong place, Kristine is a director of the club so one would suspect her to have heard something so hopefully it is just a rumour!

Just because she's on the board of the club and Trust doesn't mean she knows everything but looks like the rumour was true.
