This statement isn't exactly unreasonable, I just get the feeling you say it with a gun to his head waiting for him to fail. I used to get over excited every pre-season until the old regime beat it out of me, but lets have a bit of positivity before we shoot him for goodness sake

Well, I think, next season will be the first one in a very long time where the owners, I’m sure the staff, the players that are here next season and the fans, are all wanting to go in the same direction and are prepared to back that dream as much as they can. Bring on next season. UTM

Sounds to me that some of the contracted players have been told they are not wanted and if they decide to see out their contracts, they will be in the stiffs and away from the core group.

Nice to hear him say that the new squad he wants to build won't be hampered by having to get those players out before new ones are brought in. He made that quite clear and the comments were aimed at the players and their agents by the sound of it. Didn't seem too chuffed with them and sounds like he can't wait to show some the door.

I believe he did that pretty much the first week he took over , seperated out those that didnt fit and had them off training seperate in a corner.
