Just caught the end of Kristine's interview about the fanzone on Radio Humberside.

Anyone heard what she said ?

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

The minutes from the last trust meeting ( on the trust pages on here ) mentioned the building of a fanzone in the planning stage along with new catering options.  Asking for potential trade volunteers to assist.

To be honest my heart kind of sank when i saw the word "fanzone" being used.....probably due to the years of low cost half @rsed thrifty ideas we have endured but the first thing that sprang to mind was ...

" that will be a couple of gazebos with a table top beer pump, plastic patio sets and mighty mariner in the corner busting some dance moves to try and keep the kids occupied"

but seeing the trust minutes and that Hodson Architects were being contacted then i am a little more hopeful.

Yeah you’re right to be hopeful. It’s going to be fantastic - linking with Mark and Laura at Hodson’s will really help in getting the most out of the space.

Yeah, I've got high hopes, which is why I offered to help. It'd have been cheap and nasty under the old regime. If they ever bothered with one that is, which was unlikely.

Once the final design is done, we’ll know exactly what’s needed help wise and when.

If this is run by volunteers where will the profits end up, the Club or Trust?

No agreements in place for rotating food outlets and bar. The trust will be the beneficiaries though.
