Interesting point made about ITV Digital - Fenty saved GTFC Ltd but the club could have chosen to go into administration - look what has happened to clubs who went to administration - there was no penalty for doing at the time: -

I know Leicester City were able to write off debt which gave them a new stadium with no debt.

Hull City, Bradford, Barnsley, Derby and later Rotherham have all been in administration and either have got new stadiums or had their existing one practically rebuilt.

TB alluded to those who held Town debt at the time that affected the decision not go into administration - I wonder what he was getting - did it somehow help JSF get control of the club?

If we’d taken the administration route, JFs money would have gone with the company. Preferential creditors such as taxman and bank would have had first dibs on the assets.

I think it was before JSF had put his money in - so loans made by members of the previous regime. Maybe they agreed to give JSF shareholder control on the basis that he would put loans in to stop the club from going into admin.

Did he say anything about the tax issue he raised the other week?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Unless he has changed his job since he and I last spoke he has to be very careful about how much he says about tax issues and tax information
