Le Fondre?

That's him. Was he actually any good - or did he just have a knack of scoring against us like Ellison and Podge?

He ended up in the Prem, not as prolific there as he was in the Championship though bit like Nugent was, great for getting you promoted but you wanted rid once you went up.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: What's an IQ? - George Best

Ian Bennett with Birmingham stands out in my mind, recall a draw at home in 99 where we could have scored 3 more but he kept everything we threw at him out. Always thought Darren Eadie at Norwich played well against us,kinda surprised he didn't go on to bigger things sooner than he did though had injury issues by then and retired early.

robbie sinclair always seemed to run the shop against us during the dark times

Remember Hoddle giving us the runaround when he played for Swindon...

Didnt Tommy Mooney  score against us every time he played, no matter what division he/we happened to be in?
Peter crouch was surprisingly impressive when we played qpr back in the day

Would also add that the Luton side which got promoted from div 2 was the best lower league outfit I've seen in donkeys years.

Only have records from 96/97 season onwards and know he scored 1 goal in Watford's 6-3 win against Town at end of 95/96 season, but...

Southend - ? (Maybe 1 goal, did he score in 2-1 Town win at Roots Hall 93/94?) goals in ? (0,1 or 2) games
Watford - 4 goals in ? (at least 7, possibly as many as 11) games
Birmingham - 0 goals in 1 game
Stoke - 1 goal in 1 game
Swindon - 3 goals in 2 games
Oxford - 1 goal in 2 games
Wycombe - 1 goal in 2 games

TOTAL - 10 goals in ? (at least 15, maybe as many as 21) games.
