Some might mock the idea of a strategic project but it is vitally important to attract some players, assuming we pay enough to get them interested in the first place. Holloway wants a project so he can leave a legacy. The first part is to get some much needed success on the field so that other things follow. We need to get on a roll and it could be amazing what might be achieved.

I wonder how many of them have actually achieved their aims? Reminds me of another term that's often rolled out in cup competitions when a big club is said to be fielding 'a strong' side, when the reality is that it's a weak side. If we played Liverpool in the cup and someone said they were fielding a strong side, you'd guarantee to see at least four or five kids in the starting line-up. If you're not starting with your strongest starting XI then by definition you've got to call it a weaker side. "Don't shine that light in my face, mate - I've just lost a pint of blood."
