In the video it says it was his only 2nd start for Watford, I wonder if that was because he played for town and GT used him to spur his side on using that extra motivation (not sure if this was before or after he played for Watford) but I think he was also a thorn in towns side when we lost 2-0 v Swansea I was 7 at the time (45 yo) .

Yes, we paid a hundred grand for him the day after Watford had put him on a free transfer. Big useless lump that thought he was too good for us.

Didn't Gilligan play for town, I think he played for Swansea when I first saw town play in the early 80's with my dad.  

anyone been to any of these matches, I must say even though we lost to Watford I was on the edge of my seat watching this.

Any Town striker who put's the Ball in the Net consistently  does it for me

Drinkell and Mendonca without Doubt two the best Tees as well I'm undecided

but Mendonca I witnessed the Best Hatrick at Wembley  Charlton v Sunderland  { apart from Hurst }
