No offence taken-your post was amusing. I suppose our minds flit about with age. Ron Rafferty joined us in 1957 but Diem Bien Phu was fought March - May 1954 so that bit is accurate context! Daily Mail was rag back then and still is.
Some clubs, though, don't have the heritage that we have so we should cherish it. Scunthorpe, for example, have only been in the FL since 1950.

It’s something that they used to have in the Old Days before the Great Wasting. There were lots more people in those days. Some say as many as 64 million in Bri-Tain alone. There were so many people and life was so easy they had time to fritter on playing and watching games. They had so much time they even printed records of who would be playing in those games, with pictures of past games. Well those records were called “programmes” but nobody really knows why since all the old ones died. Unbelievable isn’t it.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Programmes again:  the club must have printed programmes today, given that matches were only called off yesterday.

What will happen to them?  Could they be sold to fans to raise money for the Club, Trust, or charities?

This may be the only programme printed for a match that might never be played.  Fans can have a rare programme for a game that they did not go to and  that did not take place.

A collectors item in the future?  (If future games are not played this season then programmes will not be print d anyway).

I'm surprised the programme for the 1939 FA cup semi-final is so rare/valuable. Given how many people were in attendance, you'd think there's be hundreds of them around.
