Ex-Town, Lincoln and Scunthorpe striker has sadly passed away.

Rod may have taught a few Fishies at Western, Clee Grammar, Heneage and Humberston.

We paid £20,000 to Lincoln for Rod when he was part time and I think he was part time for us so he could carry on with his teaching.

He went to Scunny from Lincoln and helped them to promotion with us in 71/72. Ashman signed him after he took over when Lawrie Mc left. That recruitment combination, replacing Lawrie and Matt Tees, knocked about 3k off our average attendance in a season.
