What a difference it makes to the team when the handbrake is taken off, very refreshing ! That is the most entertained that I have been all season. I'm not advocating putting Pearson and Davies in charge full time but what today has shown is that there IS a team in there somewhere. With a good manager in place and a few additions to the squad in the January transfer window we just might rise up the table.
Special mention today for the performances of Glennon, Andrews, Rose and Holohan, much, much better.

Well done Town, UTM.

It does pose the question what was Hurst doing? We played fairly well and scored 3 goals against a play-off side who looked shite.

From the second minute we went on the front foot and the brakes were let off, controlled the game in the first half and could of easily gone in 2 ahead. Took our chances in the second half playing some really nice football and looked better defensively until we made whole sale changes and Morecambe threw caution to the wind. Special mentions to Khan, Glennon, Rose, Pyke, Green and Gav today. Pyke really impressed me out on that right hand side and was very intelligent with how he dragged the defence around leaving space for Mullarkey to get beyond him. Glennon looked back to the Glennon we had on loan and was marauding up and down. Gav and Greeny really combative and controlled the midfield most the game. A really solid display against the most inform team in the divison barring Stockport.

I think they definitely were bolder and got a third goal. Let's not pretend the defensive frailties aren't there. They could have pulled level at least. Many players are working their balderdash off now, which begs the question. What were they doing before?

Credit to the interim's.

Rose and Holohan have been great throughout. Delighted for Glennon, Green and others who raised their standards significantly, just like we demanded. UTM

Our new manager will be watching that display tonight and will be pleased with the effort put in.

He will have noticed what we are good at and what needs to improve.

So he can start his new job running.

Not actually running but you know what I mean .

Great result against a team in a play off spot. Will do wonders for our confidence.

Our next two games are against the bottom two. A golden opportunity to put a big gap between us and them. Also we are now within 3 points of 5 clubs immediately above us. Two wins and we should overtake a few of them.

Next two games can completely change our prospects this season.
