Given that Paul Hurst will clearly be in charge tomorrow and probably against Slough, is it time to end hostilities regards his tenure and get back to doing what we do best and supporting the team.
There are countless threads here discussing his and others demise. Finger pointing had been towards Paul, Chris Doig, the board, the players, the coaching staff, Fenty et al.
I mean even posts about resurfacing the car park are met with such vitriol.
Don't get me wrong things aren't good on the field presently but all the surrounding negativity is doing nothing to help the situation. I'm sure the players, management team & board have seen many of the things written on social media. Imagine the impact that's having.
We need to have a ceasefire on hostilities and really get behind the team against Doncaster.

I believe Hurst will approach this game like he does all 'one off' games, with a cavalier approach and I fully expect a win. It is the subsequent league games where he will probably revert to type that will cost him

Rubbish. This isn't going away. Lose tomorrow and it will get more toxic. This only ends one way, the question is when not if.

Think he needs either a win, or a draw with a good performance/ good story tomorrow or he’ll be out.
Things could look very different in 10 days time if he gets a win tomorrow, gets a result at Slough and a decent cup draw that evening.
Doesn’t chance anything for me but I’m not the one with my finger on the trigger. Think it’s ridiculous to suggest people aren’t supportive, the reason people are so invested is because they care about the club and don’t want a repeat of the last 15 years.

I’m heading to Donny tomorrow, against my better judgement, with the thinking that it has the potential to be a significant day. Either a sad end to the Hurst mkii era, or a game that goes down in folklore as the one that began to turn it all around (a kind of Notts County Feb ‘22).
I know where I’d be placing my bet if I had to put my house on it, but I do feel there’s something oddly compelling about this match.
Ultimately, I reached the regretful conclusion that Tuesday night’s result and performance symbolised the need for change, but you can only support the team and manager in front of you and I think that’s the right mindset to approach tomorrow’s game.

I don't agree that there have even been many hostile posts towards Hurst really has there ? Just respectful reasoning of why he should probably be axed ; I know there are a few who put the point over in a more damning way but I would not say it's many . It's definitely not at toxic levels yet - worlds away from Burton away for example or even a couple of those destructions by lowly part time conference sides.

We can all move on if we get a few wins.
Then there's always some on here who are never happy.

Suggesting he should be buried underneath the new park is fairly hostile I'd say. Being called a fecking idiot likewise. Like Poojah I'll be there tomorrow supporting the team with everything I've got. I'm hoping a win with a good performance might just dampen down things a tad and we don't have a multi thread post mortem.

That's just idiotic isn't it , but I still don't think the overwhelming theme of this board or Town fans in general is abuse towards Hurst or overstepping the mark ; yes there are donuts but most of what I read on here is in the main well balanced and pretty respectful really . I just think the majority of Town fans are pretty intelligent and thoughtful , that relatively small minority tarnish their reputation a tad - maybe on here i just skim past the 1 sentence abusive posts as it's a bit of a waste of air isn't it . Disclaimer : Yoda & whoever wanted arr Paul buried alive .
