Another Hurst masterclass in how to lose a game and bore fans to death. He has to go now it’s 3 wins in 19 and another hurst bad run of results and no fa cup run to gloss over the poor run like last season. He has wasted the fa cup money what moron gives Vernham a 3 year deal the mans knees are made of dairylea cheese. Rodgers wouldn’t get in most pub teams. Who will replace him we cannot get any worse.

Whatever your stance, there’s absolutely no need for that vitriol. He’s worked brilliantly for us in the past; it’s not working now. But he’s earned far more respect than your post shows.

The fact that he left us for Shrewsbury exactly seven years ago today seems particularly ironic. He’s given us some great moments but, in the back of my mind, I don’t think he ever really understood us. He never felt the need to move nearer, he never really knew what made us attend in the numbers which we do. If it does end in the next few days, I hope we get a manager who commits to the club, it’s a very important appointment.

He's a good manager. Obviously he has something to learn. Confidence is low and probably needs to find better ways of building up players. Maybe an attacking assistant. He has a number of solid attributes and he'd benefit many teams.

I agree with you Pete, their second goal tonight he looked bizarre,he just stood there waving his arms around like a woman drying her nail varnish,no wonder the defence seems lost for confidence but I suppose that works both ways. He's not a patch on Crocombe, what the hell were we doing letting him go.

Who will replace him we cannot get any worse.
If ever there was a club with a history of finding out if we could do worse, it`s us. Newell, Holloway, Bobby Roberts, Lyons, Laws.....the list is endless.

I don't think he has been good for us. When he returned and we got relegated it was avoidable if he was any good. Getting rid of him is the last bit of the Fenty desease that had infected the club.

The Club as a whole has been positive since 1878 takeover but sadly that's not PH . He has the unnerving ability to talk up the opposition game after game and he's draining players and fans of all hope.He deserves our thanks and respect for promotion but his times up.

Yep, he's that sh!te he got us promoted twice, FA Cup quarter final and our highest league position in years!! Do one Yoda, you're a nasty individual who knows no respect.
Right, now I've said that, I honestly do believe Hurst is, at best, a NL manager, mainly because he has a habit of working wonders with the less technical, grafter type players. As soon as he has better quality players, he seems to lose all ability to string results together. Yes, its time to part ways, but he has to be allowed to leave with his head hrkx high, even though he did take us down, no thanks to the crap left by hollowhead.

Did alright at league 1 Shrewsbury. Not doing so well at the moment, I grant you, but doesn't mean that he can't, whether that is here or elsewhere.

Also if anyone thinks that it was Hurst doing that got us relegated after the Fenty/Holloway shitshow, then... I despair, I really do
Back up first time of asking. Nuff said
It may be time for him to move on, but he can do so with head held high and deserves huge respect and recognition from fans for his time here overall

I know Holloway was a complete tosser and signed some poor players but so did Hurst when he came in and if we had got a different manager rather than going back to the comfortable option we might not have got relegated.

Hurst got the players in that he could. Who did you expect would be interested in joining a League 2 club fighting relegation?

He brought in players he knew, as I suggested another manager may have brought in different players on a similar budget and better tactics than the tactics Hurst.

Very different situations and teams. I’d argue that we’re probably 2/3 players short of being a competitive team in this league.

You don't need to be a football manager to see where it's going wrong, even though I did manage a Sunday league side. I said on here before Neil Woods was given the permanent job he would take us down. I said on here in February 2021 Paul Hurst would take us out of the League. Unlike some muppets on here who kept bleating every game we would win it and stay up, mentioning no individual names.

True but we sit 20th in League 2 so this isn't working either and just to also point out the current manager is also the last manager to take us out of the EFL. Carry on nothing to see here

Something that is overlooked, is the amount of players Paul Hurst has signed in his current tenure. Perhaps someone will confirm this. Must be getting near to a century.
And we still don't have a decent team.

I'm not sure what point that proves? Have you statistics to show he signs more players than other managers? It's probably no more, no less. A lot depends on circumstances. He signed many after he took over from Holloway just to try and save us. Players move on, retire etc... Seems a pointless statement in reality and another angle just to have a go at the manager.

Chelsea have signed twice as many and spent the gross domestic product of a medium sized Asian country. And still don't have a decent team.
