When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Appreciate there's a lot of factors involved in the budget but do you reckon that's a decent  proxy for where we fall budget wise. Sort of middle of the pack.

The more you have the more you can afford to burn essentially.
I would be certain , and could be interesting to check / prove that there may well be a correlation between agents fees and successful recruitment of your transfer targets.

Is it the buying or the selling club that pays the agent- I can't remember us paying out any significant transfer fees as most of our players are on loan or were free transfers Are the agents fees capped at 10%  plus 3% of new wages ?

It’s the buying club.

Any player that signs a contract with a club, weather a paid transfer, free transfer, or even contract renewals (assuming the player has an agent) the agent will want some commission from the club, usually 5% of the players total contract value, some agents also charge players 5% of their wages as a service fee (usually higher division players)

Under new rules that come in this year, agents can only take a maximum of 3% from the club and 3% from the player. They can also charge a maximum of 10% commission on any transfer fee (from the selling club)

It’s Gross how mush they’re taking out of the game.
The PFA should have their own representatives to sit in on transfer deals

Gillingham and Colchester went on a spending spree in the Jan window both of their figures seem low. If Stockport have spent that much I wonder how much Wrexham have spent just on fees? More than the value of most squads in the NL...
