What flipping truth, the fact that many in this country want to stop illegal immigrants coming into the UK costing millions of pounds giving them free board, free food, free health care probably for years that many in this country can only dream of and comparing that to the gassing of 6 million Jews.

Always guesswork from these types. They never research facts, what's the point in them? I'll come up with my own misguided judgments that I have no idea are factually correct or not, and stick a probably on the end.

Remember Gary shooting over the bar ( to a big cheer) when Town beat Leicester 2-0 - Steve Lynex was playing

If I wanted to avoid being likened to Nazi Germany, I would simply avoid silencing my critics.

He chose to take the shilling of an organisation constrained by rules about impartiality thus silencing himself to a degree but not totally. He wants a high profile on Twitter to heavily criticise the current Government on a tranche of issues. Actual political journos at the BBC can't do that.

Saying he is an independent hired contractor won't wash. The obligation still applies under such a high profile role as the highest paid employee.

Would you accept a replacement on his money who spouted right wing bollox?

They can get rid of the whole programme as far as I'm concerned. Miss the cricket though.

The cricket with Geoff Boycott who expressed his views on a no-deal brexit publicly?

Then I look forward to The Apprentice being binned as Lord Sugar is equally as vocal with his political thoughts.

Except we both know he won’t get silenced because he’s pro-Tory.

Oh yes please take the Apprentice and all the rest of the shrieking populist rammel.

Repeat no one is being silenced. Negotiations are taking place but the BBC clearly want a better understanding of his obligations regarding impartiality. If Lineker insists that he is an exception there will be a parting of the ways.

To be clear, The BBC has lost credibility as far as News and Politics is concerned anyhow. There is hardly a journalist without an obvious bias and the dumming down of everything makes most output unwatchable.

These binary times are tearing the organisation apart. The more we ape the U.S.A in our media discourse the worse it gets.

The moment you had to add the word ‘probably’ to your nonsensical diatribe meant your comment is irrelevant. It’s not fact, it’s barely opinion…

Lineker: ‘…in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s’

arryarryarry: ‘…comparing that to the gassing of 6 million Jews’

Now. Can you see the differences in those two statements?

Firstly, Lineker is discussing the language used, not the acts carried out. He also mentions the 1930s.

You compare it to a monstrous act that happened in the 1940s. The groundwork for the genocide may have started in the 30s, but that was aided by the state control of the media, state propaganda and the dehumanisation of certain groups of people.

Obviously, vulnerable people such as the physically and mentally disabled were being tortured, poisoned and killed by the Nazis in the 30s ***. However, you could argue that the Government of the past 13 years have had a pretty good crack at that themselves through their incompetence, fraud and mismanagement.

***whilst the UK Govt of the 1930s and the English FA were forcing the England football team to heil Hitler and give Nazi salutes
