You’ve either misinterpreted what he said or listened to someone else tell you that is what he said without reading the tweet yourself.

You can’t just make stuff up to fit the narrative of what you wanted Lineker to say to get him out. Now, that is what happened in 1930s Germany.

By ' not dissimilar' obviously interprets as ' similar ' and what 'vulnerable people' was he alluding to in '30s Germany?

BBC will no doubt have its revenge by changing the format and the overpaid presenter, pundits and tired format will be out on its ear. Wonder what Gary’s mates will be thinking then.

You can explain it to people, but you can’t understand it for them!

Gary Lineker didn’t compare the current government to the Nazi’s of the Holocaust. He said the current language being deployed is comparable to language used in 1930s Germany. And he’s 100% correct to say that.

Terms and phrases like “invasion”, “swarms”, “overrun”, “unwelcome”,  “illegal”, “coming over here”, “no right to be be here” and many many more are all designed to dehumanise the refugees who are attempting to come the UK.

Dehumanising language just like in 1930s Germany when persecution of the Jews, Gypsies and many others was being slowly ramped up.

I’ve already covered this a few pages ago (bottom of page 8 ).

You do realise that it wasn’t just Jews who were persecuted and killed by the Nazis don’t you? Obviously, in the 1940s, the Jews suffered terribly. It was disgusting. Words can’t express how terrible it was.

However, in the 1930s, your life was at equal or greater risk from the Nazis - in that decade that Lineker referred to - if you were mentally or physically disabled, homosexual, black, Asian, Roma or had political views that didn’t match those of the Reich.

Wouldn't lose any sleep if none of the so-called 'experts' appeared on MOTD again. They are all self-opinionated and totally boring.

Interestingly enough, during the 1930s, the Nazis had a plan to remove the Jews from Germany by forcibly emigrating them to Madagascar. Now, why does that sound familiar to me? I'm sure there has been something on the news recently...

If you don't want to be accused of acting like fascists, then don't act like a fascist. We're already a good way down a slippery slope, which is pretty shameful.
