Interesting point about Parkinson. Wondered at the time what Hurst was saying and suspect it was something calmer and more helpful than 'flipping get flipping into them'.

I would be stunned to know that any of our players/staff said stuff like ‘2 more games’ or ‘put these to the sword’ etc, it seemed like the vast majority of their side thought they had it in the bag (both the Trophy Final and our game). Hurst can take great credit for that for creating a modest & deeply professional dressing room (apart from when Holohan got his member out after the final)

Worst thing about it was I kept seeing our kid in the crowd with his knock off Tacchini trackie top.

Not sure what Parkinson was on about telling his lot they’d “had us by the throat”. I can’t ever remember feeling too troubled throughout the full 2 hours, certainly never under any sustained pressure and it was just a case of being better at set pieces.

Sometimes I’m a bit critical of Hurst for his measured approach, but sooner that than a ranting fúcking lunatic like Parkinson, it didn’t look like any of their squad believed him either.

The look on Palmers face said it all for me, and his ‘flipping get in to them’, ‘intercourse that’ nonsense was probably what contributed to their shaky start to the second half.

His bollcoks is even more laughable now, we were ever under any sustained pressure and I’d argue it was the one game, ironically where defensively we lacked something, even though we’d been decent over the season in that area.

He had nothing left for extra time and that probably explains why we ended up eventual winners.

You lead by example…all Parkinson seemed to do was about, even their reaction to their goals was somewhat over the top…anyone would think the pressure was on.

It seems to be only just dawning on most Wrexham fans that Mullin’s second was a blatant handball. Perhaps the game was t quite the injustice they felt it was, after all.

I still can't understand why mullin went for it with his hand, he could have headed it anyway.....very strange.

Overall I enjoyed the series but echo what others have said about some poor editing cutting away from goals to cut scenes and also I don't think they focused much on the fact that two former players(one who was shown in earlier episodes as a Wrexham player and captain) had come back to haunt them.

There is only longevity in the series' if Wrexham go up, another season of being the nearly men will get most people pretty bored. Neutrals will want to see success and not ultimate failure imo if they're spending time watching the series

Alternatively if they don't go up next year they can brutally cull the staff on screen to cause some social media shockwaves and keep interest up for a third series of will they/won't they

Mullin went with his hand to protect himself I reckon. Scared to put his head in and risk getting whacked.
