Good start to the season, some great results then the wheels fall off. Thrashing Doncaster 6-0 two months ago. They won 4-0 at Portsmouth on October 19. It was only 30 days ago that they won 4-1 at Wycombe. 0:0 draw with Barrow was the last straw. In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD
