Fishy Pontoon Buster

An excellent 70 entries this game. This gives me £700. As mentioned earlier I will be donating some to The Downs Syndrome Association, as suggested by Hagrid. I will donate £150 which will leave me with a prize pot of £550,

First prize will be £300. There will also be 3 prize pots of £50 for, the first team(s) that scores nil for 3 successive weeks, the team(s) who finish last when the 1st prize is won, and also the team to sack their manager first, during the course of the game.

This will leave me with £100 which I will share (£20) at random to 5 entrants who have not won a prize during the game.

You can only win one £50 prize but you can win the first prize as well as a £50 prize.

A quick resume of the rules. Your team needs to score EXACTLY 21 goals. Only goals at the weekend count (Friday-Monday). If your team plays twice in this period, only the first game counts. If for any reason your team does not play in that period, then you score a default 2 goals.

If a game is abandoned then you also score a default 2 goals, unless your team has already scored more than 2, and then the goals your team has scored at the abandonment will be taken.

If you go over 21 goals, then you are bust and out of the game. The game will start with the Friday night Championship game tonight.

Due to Covid related issues and, at the time of typing, 26 games already off, and more than likely more to be by kick-off time, I have taken the decision to suspend the Pontoon Buster for now. This will make it a lot fairer to all as too many teams will be scoring default 2's tomorrow.

We will obviously wait and see how next week is affected and then I will make a decision as to if we can restart again next week.

I hope this meets with alls approval.

Not going to do that mate. The game will finish, even if we have to pause it for a few weeks.

12 games already off on Boxing Day now, so what I propose to do is take a break from The Fishy Buster at the minute and restart it with games played on Friday 14th of January. I was going to restart it the week earlier but that's an FA Cup week and there will be a number of lower league teams without a game that week.

I hope that meets with the approval of all and I'm sorry that I have had to take this step, but in order to be fair to people I feel that this is the right decision to make.

Just want to wish all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy Prosperous New Year.

Just realised that the Premiership is having a 2 week "Winter Break" now (apart from 1 game a week on Saturday). I'm not going to postpone the game for 2 weeks again but just award the Prem teams  default 2 for the next 2 weekends. It won't result in a Prem team winning the game by default anyway.

We have winners. Both Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday scored the goals they needed so a share of first prize goes to Son Of Civvyatlast and Mrs Bartgtfc. They share the £300 first prize.

Lowest prize was shared by Hagrid with Hartlepool and Wizbit with Scunthorpe, Peterborough also finished with only 5 but they had already won a share of an earlier prize.

I will chose the 5 random loser prizes soon.
