I am still convinced that ourselves and Wrexham were the best 2 teams in the Conference in 2012/13 season. The fixture pile up we both suffered because of our trophy run and the beast from the east winter ruined both teams seasons and both missed out on promotion.

Yes, it appears they changed the round numbering for 2020/21 season. Since we were last down at this level there has been another league inserted at step 3 and 2 more leagues inserted at step 4. Therefore there’s another 60 or so clubs entering the FA Trophy and more rounds are needed. This season there are 310 teams and 11 rounds overall in the FA Trophy. Last time we played it (2015/16) there were only 276 and 10 rounds overall. The FA chose to remove a qualifying round & insert 2 additional proper rounds into the competition.

That said what our priority is, is a return to the EFL and out of this sh!t league. Nothing should detract from that and it should be the aim of the club. Honour cup fixtures, by all means, use them to experiment with but don't hold the cups as a need this season. Man U away would be a great tie and day out, earn some money but if it resulted in missing out on promotion then would it be such a great day out. You can swop Man U for any other prem team, but promotion is a must. You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time
