Light drizzle at the moment. Do we have covers?

'I walked in the dressing room. The window was open and I thought that a sea fret had got in. Then I saw smoke billowing from a pipe in the corner of the room...it was my centre-forward. He looked seven stone wet through. He went on to score thirty-odd goals that season.' Lawrie McMenemy on encountering the legend that was Matt Tees.

We do have covers but they are for keeping the frost off and as far as I'm aware aren't designed to be water proof....
Can only hope all the work during the closed season on the pitch and the fact we've not had a lot of rain decently will mean it drains well.
Rains due to ease around 6 and move away by 8pm..
Wondering if we may see a delayed kick off (pushed back to 8.30) rather than full postponement if the pitch is water logged.

Let's hope that the covers keep some of the rain at bay? Otherwise there could be a decision to be made if it belts down all day.

5Live saying a month’s worth of rain expected today for the Humber and Lincs region. If that’s over the course of the day we might be ok but if it’s in one go in late afternoon then maybe not. We’ll see won’t we but I’ll be bringing a waterproof.

Said I about an hour before that Carabao Cup game against Derby the other season...

Fingers crossed we don't see another evening of biblical rain like that though.

Will they have blokes on it all day with those rollers that you push around and they collect water and then you tip it off the side? If they can be on it right from the start of the rain hopefully it will be enough to get the game on fingers crossed. I'm really really looking forward to this one so will be gutted if its off.
