Looking back I think it was 1970. My father would have been 90 currently He suddenly spotted someone ‘thumbing it’ as we left Peterborough and stopped and picked him up. He knew him from schooldays and hIs name was Pete and they talked Grimsby Town and football for an hour and a half enthusiastically before Pete was dropped off in Grimsby. I don’t know if this was the same Pete (I never saw him again) but he fits the profile of a similar keen fan. RIP Pete Blundell Park - The Home of Grimsby Town Football Club (still)
