With it looking likely of no new additions by the weekend unless Hurst springs another surprise on us, going with what we have at the moment how do you expect us to line up at the weekend?
I know a lot of these threads get started but it would be interesting to see who you think he will go with rather than who you hope he will go with, and I'm sorry those of you who think Pollock up front is going to be an option, unless PH is now looking towards the Fishy for line up tips
I know it's ultimately frustrating for a lot of us to see Matt Green in the line up most weeks, but do you think Hurst will have realised his lack of effectiveness and chuck in all his chips on Ira?
I am thinking there won't be too many drastic changes, but I feel Habergham may start over Preston. Spokes and Rose in the centre and I am hoping for Ira instead of Green up top.
Can't see Scannell starting but I can see him being involved. We need these 3 points desperately.
I honestly think there will be at least one through the door in the next 25 hours
I also reckon that there could be others on their way out
In a neat little town they all call Grimsby Apprentice to a tradeI was bound And many's an hour's sweet happiness Have I spent in this neat little town.
A sad misfortune came over me Which caused me to stray from the land Far away from my friends and relations Never Betrayed by the black and white band.
Her eyes they shone like diamonds I thought her the queen of the land And her hair hung over her shoulders Tied up with a black and white band.
Two forwards on the assumption that they're fit if not play Max, push Bennett in behind the sole front man, who should be Gibson and not Green!
Hanson isn't back yet, only doing light training, Hurst said he doesn't want to push him so I figure from that he is going to be a week or two away from being named in a squad.
Clifton & Hewitt sitting deeper and allowing Bennett a free role as such in the CAM role
We are home to the bottom team, that are the lowest scorers. Having said that, they have 13 points from 18, which is play-off form
Expecting it to be decided by 1 goal, so as long as we keep them out for more than 5 minutes this time, and stay in the game, we have every chance of winning
Hopefully Wright might be able to start. That would help.
I also think we need to split the Waterfall/Pollock CB pairing. I would put Hewitt in there.
I would start with Gibson up front. Maybe Jackson too.
Russell
Hendrie Waterfall Hewitt Habergham
Morais Rose Bennett Wright
Jackson Gibson
Centre midfield is such a problem. Maybe Clifton or Spokes in for Rose.
Scannell would be an advantage were he to be fit.
Obviously a more attacking formation with both Wright and Morais, but frankly I don't think we have the players to pull off a defensive minded approach. We may as well go for it. But it still looks a pretty lightweight line up. We just don't have the right players right now.
But dont expect Habergham, Spokes, Scannell or Hanson to start
Regrettably, I'm forced to agree. If we could get that team fit and keep it fit think we might have enough. Hanson has the qualities to exploit Morais' crossing and Scannell's likewise. I remain convinced that if our survival hopes rest of either of them staying fit we might as well book train tickets to Weymouth.
But surely he can't pick Green this week. So it's Preston, Hewitt, Gibson and Clifton. Triffic
I've wasted my life in black and white, a pathetic act for a worthless cause
