Youth in the middle might be a worry, Harrogate my try to bully them but I'm quite happy with that line up

No idea. Last time I recall seeing him it seemed like nobody wanted to pass to him at all and he just sort of existed in the game feeding on scraps. Sure he was on the bench as an unused sub in another game but feel like a Vose situation is coming along where he looked good at the start then slowly gets phased out with a few anonymous performances where he may or may not have upset a few people and/or the manager.

We had a bit of a downpour just before kick-off here in Cleethorpes, the players look like they are struggling with the slippy conditions.

Good start by them

That's the thing, he'll make a great save in the same game but because he made an absolute howler of a situation nobody will think about it  

Fair play to McKeown (it needed saving but it was in no way a 'great' save!) but that was a really weak finish by Muldoon there

I’m going off JT more and more.....

I was worried when the lineup came out about that midifeld and so far this half I think its been justified. Morton and Spokes are doing alright going forward but they're nit in the game defensively at all, its causing us all sorts of problems

Harrogate look a decent side, watched them play against Bradford and they fully deserved the win.

Every single second ball seems to gravitate to one of their players. Apart from the goal we have not been able to string anything together as they always win the ball.

They’re good for their lead in all fairness. This needs changing up at half time.

You cant blame macca there ffs😂 we’ve been excrement all over. They are quick strong and fully deserve to be in front

Tonight we’ve been crap from back to front. Dreadful first half.

Spokes is out of his depth that's for sure and Edwards going off didn't help. Macca is not as good as he thinks he is I'm afraid but he's probably the only one in Holloway's huge squad who is not at all worried about his place

No doubt about it.... Harrogate deserve their lead

Ollie needs to pull something out of the hat if we are to avoid a defeat

It is 1-2, we are not out of it but Ollie needs to shuffle the pack and change formation for the second half, they are getting through at will down the flanks. May be a case of getting Hanson on early and start going more direct, play Gibson off him..
Missing Williams and Rose tonight...

Poor first half. Middle of the park nonexistant. Lets go 442, get Hanson on for Spokes, get clifton in the middle with Morton, Tilley and Bennett wide. With Hanson on we can go more route 1 when Harrogate push up and stop us playing out the back. Tilley and Bennett will help cover our two wingbacks and getting Clifton in the middle will give us some much needed energy and drive there.

First time i've seen us play and it's only half time but I think we look OK. Harrogate are by far the better side and their movement and passing is brilliant. For me i agree with the commentators. I love a 433 as i've said on here before. Personally, i think we need to switch to that and continue to get the ball down but this time we'll have that extra man in the middle of the park to create space and an option.

A poor first half from us....  second to everything....  pressured all over the pitch...
Dont look anything like , if things don't change we could be in for a bit of a slapping here.....

Got to revert to 4-4-2  this system not working tonight.

Good goal by Tilley the only bright spot for us apart from the grass.

Well done to the groundsman he has improved the playing surface 100% since the start of the season.

I’ve noticed that , I’m sure what was bread and butter saves years ago are now all punched or parried rather than caught , it’s the same from crosses and corners , keepers used to jump up and pluck the ball no problems from a corner and nine time’s out of ten if they dropped it the ref would give a free kick

Gibson not doing enough to hold the ball up and keep possession in attacking areas and the ball just keeps coming back into our final third.

He’s not making those runs into the channels either in order to turn their centre backs.

Good prospect IMO but not a lone striker - he looks a bit lost.

Getting a job done on us by a very organised, fit and lively team, very impressed with them.
Having said that our shape and selection isnt helping, Spokes and Morton running in treacle in the middle,  Clifton isnt a wing back.
Harrogate clearly know we want to play from the back and have pinned us down exposing our lack of centre half ball ability.

Lucky to be still in it, a good half time shake up needed here.

Agree, he pushed it back out into the danger area.

I thought Maccas position on the second goal was suspect which meant that he struggling straight away.

We’re missing Williams and Rose. Would prefer Green to Gibson (he’s won nothing all night). Hopefully, Hanson’s got 45 minutes in him. Tilley, Pollock, Waterfall and Clifton have done okay - the rest rubbish.

He showed too much goal to his left, so looked at full stretch but that was due to iffy positioning

Clifton needs moving into the centre as Morton and Spokes can not play together, Spokes in particular looks way way way out of his depth both on the ball and off the ball (yes I know it is his first game) Morton  looks tidy technically but he needs the right partner alongside him, nothing is sticking up top, we need Hanson on to hold the ball up, improvement needed

Think too many changes being made . These are pro footballers and should be able to play twice a week .. I know some are young , but if your not fit when you are young you will never be, We are not out of it but changes in shape are needed for the second half without a doubt

As others have said, lucky to still be in it, need big first 15 to get them doubting

They are simply stronger and quicker than us, Their players also seem to be able to turn easily and run off ours, while we seem to be sliding around on our ahses all the time. Spokes/Morton not strong enough as a pair, get Clifton in there,

We are just shocking tonight, alas I can see them scoring more unless something changes and quickly

Agree with that - best chance with available personnel - play to Hanson (if he is fit enough) and hope he can can hold up the ball to enable us to push up

I know It shouldn't matter because everyone in the league has the right to be there, but it just feels all wrong being outplayed by Harrogate.
