Seeing as we haven't got a game:

FT...Brighton 2-3 Man Utd

Bizzare ending.......Man Utd awarded a penalty after the final whistle when VAR alerts the ref to a handball by a Brighton player, United convert the pen and win the game.

What do you expect ? As far as united are concerned there's still a chance 10 minutes after the final whistle.

There were 91 penalties in the PL last season. With the changes to the handball rule + VAR, the guys at Fantasy Football Scout have calculated that if we continue at the same rate there will be 275 penalties this season. If you play any kind of fantasy football, it might be worth having a few penalty takers in your team. And with less clean sheets around, probably fewer premium defenders.

Same now with Oldham.

And from what I've seen from us so far I'll be happy if we stay up.

Underwhelmed so far with what's gone on at GTFC.

Completely agree, feels like the Bolton game is must win ...... that’s if we can get the must play but done that is.

Missed the first half but caught up with the highlights at half time. Not sure if what United were doing for the Spurs goals can be described as defending. Shaw taking out De Gea was gold! If Martial goes, Lamela should go too. Both yellows would be more fitting though.

Ole  in.  About time some of these plastic money grabbing teams go through it and get some stick. its not football in the prem  its a circus
I remember watching the Salford game the other week on the i follow. Even though we lost I loved the realism of it .Unlike as you say premiership teams where rich Arabs come in and pump god knows how much into a team.

Do some research.
Either way its why clubs like Grimsby cant compete anymore with the big boys .Hence like before when they had the maximum wage and clubs like Grimsby could compete.

Just something unfair about it all now.

Have a feeling things may of been a bit different had the crowds been in. Possibly less high scoring than it is today.

We seem to be having some bizarre scores every week. When it becomes a battle of 11vs11 it’s anyone’s game.

As bad as United were defensively Liverpool were worse. Tottenham and Villa brilliant though and that shouldn’t be forgotten. Villa in the first half wanted to win every battle and did win the majority of them. A few fortunate chances but you have to be in the right places for them to drop for you.

Yes but players feed of the energy of the fans. I know there would of been less Liverpool fans there but I feel would of still  had some bearing. Hence Liverpool fans are some of the best in the world. Champions league nights are awe inspiring at Anfield. Hence due to the history of  the city as you maybe aware. Poverty etc and the club gave hope and joy to many. Bit like Grimsby to be honest but on a lesser scale.

I’ve been to Villa Park for a sell out League Cup semi-final. They can make an atmosphere there when they want to too.

Not looked into it but that must be the first time an Andorran national team has scored 3 goals in one game.

3 of the top 4 in Div 1 lost in the FAC.  2 lost at home and to teams way down the pyramid.

Chorley could be the best and worse performing team this season.  Coming from 2 down to win at Wigan and then to come from behind again to win at Peterborough, who are top of Div 1.

Chorley have scored the fewest goals in National North.  They are in the 2 relegation places and could be relegated to god knows what division.

Their FAC wins are remarkable.  Shame that they have not any fans to watch these shocks.

Arsenal vs Wolves.

Concerning scenes as Wolves striker Raúl Jiménez is stretchered off after a clash of heads with David Luiz, it didn't look good.

It was a sickening sound could be a fractured skull for the lad.

Wolves score so 1-0 after 10 minute hold up.

Now 1-1

Uncomfortable viewing. Shades of Danny Higginbotham on Livvo there in that Luiz has gone right through the back of him.

Fingers crossed it’s not as bad as it looks.

Mansfield didn't feck bottom around with the ball near their penalty box in the last minute against Daggers then - and perhaps superior fitness got them their winner in the last minute of extra time. Hope we've learnt our lesson from that one...

"Wolves striker Raul Jimenez is 'comfortable' in hospital after suffering a fractured skull during Sunday night's Premier League match at Arsenal, the club have announced."

Let's hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Mansfield win away at Cambridge and move just one point behind us.

Stevenage earn a draw at Walsall leaving us just three points out of the relegation places albeit we have two games in hand.

Seeing as we don't play til tea-time, will merge with the "Sticky" thread again later.

So Scunny win in the early kick-off and go above us

Interesting to see how the teams below us get on now we are only 3 points out of the relegation places.

Crawley come from 2 down to lead Mansfield 2.1
Our old chums at 'too big for this division's Bradford are also losing

All you moaners out there, bolton are 5.1 down at home to port fail

Keep an eye on harrogate plunging. They're losing again, I think that's something like 7 games without a win
