Did anyone else see the seemingly very short lived news item on Grimsby Live this morning about Limbrick?
I looked online this morning and there was a new news item about him, but apart from the headline stating he has been released from his contract, i didnt read the rest of the item. Ive gone to have a read of it about an hour later and its nowhere to be seen.
It must have only been on there minutes, if not seconds, as there has been no other mention of it anywhere.

I reckon the GT have his departure story all written up and ready to run with it, but they posted it by mistake, as when I returned to read it, the headline had been replaced by the one about Chris Doig.

So who is responsible for coaching / training / fitness of GTFC players? Seems Anthony Limbrick may have left (the day before the new season started) - leaving a void in this area? Hence comments on todays Match Thread alluding to some of Towns players not being up to speed on fitness - (the ones that are forced to play) - others that have been signed may have fitness issues as well and being protected until they are fit. Perhaps the club will confirm who the coaching / training / fitness team are. I think a really good exercise for all of the squad would be to run from training ground at Cheapside to the trig point at Brigsley Top at least once a week, with performances being timed by the coaching / training / fitness team in order to monitor improvement / deterioration.

and why the do we always seem to have just 1 coach and other teams have 3-4 coaches.
1 x Manager (Buckley), (Jolley) 1 x Assistant (Mann), (Limberick) 1 x Coach (?), (?)

How many teams have 3-4 coaches? Before Limbrick decided he can't get to work, I think we had: Manager Assistant manager Under 23's coach YT coach Physio Analyst (do we still have one?) Fitness coach Crewe got promoted and have the same minus a fitness coach. Carlisle have the same as Crewe. Exeter have a sports therapist, but no analyst. Newport only appear to have a manager and assistant manager. It's really easy to make blase comments that we do everything on the cheap, but the first 4 clubs I googled, that are often the ones mentioned as doing things better than us, don't seem to have anything more than we do...

But those are facts - a lot of posters on here prefer theories and conjecture.

Slade brought an analyst in but Jolley got rid of him because Limbrick could do all of that.
Holloway said the other week that Limbrick was great on the laptop at doing the analysis and he would now have to pick that work up.
