No proper defender available for the bench. Hope no one gets injured!

With Clarke coming in and Hanson back, he is down the pecking order i would have thought.

Great that Hendrie is starting. That is a scary bench as far as Exeter are concerned, I am sure. They really think they owe us one.....I suppose they do, really. But I am predicting a repeat of the scoreline from St James Park

Would’ve liked to have seen Benson and Tilley start (assuming they are match fit)

Same team that finished at Orient, no issues defending but I thought we lacked something going forward, hope we don’t have to bring them on from a losing position. Get them on 3-0 up, bed them in gently!

Are we any closer to getting promoted since Hurst has been here? No

Has he been given time to achieve promotion by the chairman and fans? Yes

Hurst out

Humberside have just said he's having hamsting troubles

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Bar-stewards, got freeview channel 721 on in lobby but forgot my phone... Came back and supervisor appeared and changed channel glued to telly 😩 hates footie.

Grimsby Town app says I need to upgrade subscription but doesn't give me any option of being able to and all the freeview apps installed don't have 721 😩

Anyway, enjoy those that are there

I see Macca is distributing his balls better instead of hitting up field

Used an American VPN. Charged me $7. I use that Monzo bank and they don't charge for conversions (only Mastercard base exchange rate) so it comes to around £5.36.

Clarke nearly scored at the end of the half as well after some more decent passing and movement. All in all, not a bad half. Some good, positive play but playing so many passes out to the wings, we've got a couple wrong and we're a bit lucky not to be caught from one of them.

Were going to struggle at set pieces regardless of the end. We've got 2 players who are 6 foot or more, they've got probably 7 or 8!

The pitch seems to to making it difficult for both teams to pass the ball today both JT and Lord Buckley saying it looks boggy.

Not a bad first half, our passing at times has been a little supsect but like I've already said I think we can blame the pitch for that today. When we do get it right we're getting some very pleasing one-two football. Once again Whitehouse continues to change my opinion of him (for the better). wright is starting to show a few more flourishes of what he can do.

Hess seems to of disapeared a little today after he fluffed that chance early on, but lets be honest its not often he has a bad game so I'll forgive at the moment. We seems to be keeping them contained quite well, they've had a couple chances but so have we and I think its a pretty even game at the moment.

I don't want to jinx it but the refs not having a bad game either not that either teams given him too much to do.

Windscribe on the 'Windflix US' server. Need to turn it off and on a few times to get an unblocked IP. Apparently only actually need it for the initial purchase. Can use direct UK internet connection for a better picture/connection after that.

I wouldn't dream of it Holloway is wonderful PR for the club perhaps he just needs to get Michael Jolley in as an advisor on how to beat Exeter

Despite the loss, after a scrappy start, town played some quality football.  Macca and defence more composed, less needless fouls, some great long passing and better (still room for improvement) balls into the box.

Very unlucky at points today. Definitely something to build on. Can tell the lads tried their best. Onwards and upwards. UTMM.

Their man of the match was definitely the keeper so just one of those games where we couldn't get the goal we deserved. A pity that the winner came from an individual error as Clifton otherwise did very well, I thought. Good showings from Clarke and Glennon but Tilley didn't really settle into the game. More to come from him hopefully. I thought their No. 8 was the most talented player on show so not a surprise he got the goal.

How did we not score today. Gutted. So typical for a big crowd, we fail to win.

Unlucky there today against one of the teams that’ll get promoted  , we was worth at least a point .
4 new players out on the pitch today and one that just back from a long time out injured .
Hopefully we’ll soon get to know our best team and get them settled for the rest of the season

Can’t quite understand subbing Max Wright off after only 57 minutes. He was playing quite well and Tilley by comparison was totally ineffectual. I was quite impressed with Clarke though, looks as if he will be a decent signing, good control and linked up well. Should’ve scored from 6 yards out but it was great save from the keeper. All in all a decent performance against one of the top sides and we definitely deserved something from the game. We are creating chances again, just need to start taking them.

Good showing of support for Ollie with over 6,000 there.

Let's hope they keep coming as Ollie will improve us slowly but surely.

Problem we now have is an awful pitch to try playing a passing game, sub moves were poor, didn,t deserve to lose but we desperately need a goalscorer because their keeper did not make a save you wouldn't expect him to despite 2 or 3 easy chances. I await the red x for not being manically positive

Always happens when we draw in a big crowd doesn't it. Played well first half thought we had a good first half but the second was very flat and we were punished when we madea  mistake. Subs didn't work and we still need a striker who knows where the net is and someone to be creative and make things happen, hopefully some of the new plays can fill these rolls.

Never seen BPs pitch look so bad. The work they did in the summer clearly didn't work or is it the penny pinching restricting what the grounds staff can do with it?

I have a bit more faith in our fans than you do! Anyone who witnessed that performance will surely want to come back. We lost because they took advantage of Clifton's error. Luck or lack of it simply has to have played a part if none of those chances end up in the net.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

I'm not saying it will have a negative affect on the crowds its just we always seem to lose whenever we run these sorts of promotions to beef up the crowd and get people interested again, it happened loads during the dark days we were in the conference. It's almost like some sort of curse is activated whenever the crowd goes above 6000

But apart from that everything is ok then?😉

The pitch is usually the same for both sides, remember where the club was 6 weeks ago.

listened on iplayer and just saw the highlights and their keeper played an absolute blinder. Much more impressed with our build up play with some neat passes to work chances. Didnt happen today though I reckon we probably deserved a point. Happy with the direction the team is heading in though.
