Ohman must be injured?!

Or maybe unlike his predecessor he just wants to keep a settled side at the back ?

Think Davis and Waterfall look a decent pairing. Ohman isn't injured, lost his place because of illness and no need to change it for me.

Quietly confident we might end this run today. Like the looks of the front three and we can't keep playing well and not winning forever. Must be bonkers

This is our most important game of the season so far.  Macclesfield are in the doldrums and if we can't beat them we our season is pretty much over.  If we score a few it will gives us a boost in confidence that we really need.  I feel sorry for the oppositions predicament but it's a dog eat dog world.

Only bee to moss rose once, bizarrely on Boxing Day too! Weather was horrific but, quite possibly the best ground staff/stewards I've had the pleasure of speaking to. Hate the thought of any club going out of business but, must win game today

Wright should've scored.

Must be really difficult for a pro to miss the target from there. Seriously

Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong
Update:  I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly

JJ Hooper bags a brace for Wrexham. Those golden days when we had prolific strikers. There was no doubt about the outcome when old JJ was one on one with the keeper!!!!

It’s the same for both sides I know but this pitch is really poor, not helping Town’s new found passing style 😉

The game should have been advertised as the fight to see which team is the worst in the football league
I hope we can manage a shot on target in the 2nd half. You never know, we might then actually score

Game over, we don't  score.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

What a soft penalty to give away.  The guy who put the cross in was in acres of space. He had time to tie his boot laces before crossing.  Now, we're panicking.  What happened to the fight back we did at the beginning of the season?

Starting to think the holiday I booked for the play off final might have been a bit optimistic.

Started well, two easy chances for Wright. We’ve got worse as the half has gone on. Im really hoping we can come good second half but I’m not so sure. I’m not there, I paid a tenner.........UTM!!!

This. Looked like pro's versus an uninterested fans team for 15 mins. Then we gift them a chance through Davis and stop giving it to Vernam. Average rest of the half.

Penalty second stupid thing Davis has done. Ogbu done nothing but give away stupid free kicks. Max missed 2great chances, one you just have to score.

If we lose this we are in trouble, why can’t a professional player score a bloody goal when given the opportunity? What is wrong with this team/club??

A bit of effort. A bit of running. And we score.

Our. Everest peak  performance was being 3-0 up in the 94th minute away at the leaders Exeter.

After that, it has been  downhill all the way.  Literally.

They were excrement. We looked ok in patches but you’ve got to beat dross like that.
Thought Vernam had a really good game, just missing the central striker to put what he creates away.

A point and a goal, could have been worse. None of the bottom 7 won and Morecambe are further adrift.

Is this the level we are now at?

Apart from the goal we were poor from start to finish, this was a game for the taking, yes the pitch was crap but so were both teams, if we can't out compete a team who haven't been paid we are only going in one direction and it isn't up.

Another game that should prove why Limbick isn't the man to take us forward.

Another game that proves with Fenty and his board running the club it is only a club in decline, about time they all stepped aside and give new blood with fresh ideas a chance at breathing new life in to the club.

Away point is an away point and a goal is gold at the moment. No one played badly though Davis was weak link in defence. Mattie looked quite assured when he came on.
I would though like to make a statemernt'

I may have given the impression that I believed Vernam  was not a football league standard footballer and never will be. Nothing can be further from the truth.
After speaking to my editor we have agreed that he is the best player at the club and has a fantastic career ahead of him.

I am sure that our younger players were grateful to the 20 knobs at the end verbally abusing them.

Ok as they say any point away is supposedly a good point, but let's be honest it's a dog excrement result. We are in trouble.

Don't forget akheems amazing assist. Lovely weighted pass - a thing of beauty

Did they have Fenty's approval to release that information

Nice one Davis. You’ve been crap all season.

And most likely a few seasons before, that's why he's ended up playing for town.

Not saying that Macclesfield are a good side, but that was their 5th draw in a row and one of those was a 1-1 draw against Bradford, It is not easy to win there on that terrible pitch
We are still crap in front of goal though with poor decision making when it matters

They were excrement. We looked ok in patches but you’ve got to beat dross like that.
Thought Vernam had a really good game, just missing the central striker to put what he creates away.

Chas is the central striker, build around him cos he's got the bottle to put away goals like that on his own and he can beat defenders all day long
Put it on the floor to Chas
On today's showing looks to me like he's off, doesn't fancy NL

Pleased to say this group of neanderthals were amply countered by 350 other Mariners who cheered and applauded the team for their fighting response. The quality was dire at times but the younger players never gave up and showed more resilience than some more experienced colleagues.

What has happened to Hendrie? Wrong side of his man when making challenges, poor passing and looks miserable. Davis and Gibson not communicating and Clifton not convincing in front of back four. Put Hess, out of sorts in past few games, back there and let Harry support forwards more.

We had lots of crosses, all shocking, and again, rarely man the far post.
For once, Whitehouse was good nuisance value when he came on but needs to go out in Jan. Our biggest problem is in midfield. Robson is one paced and lacks the consistency to boss the centre of the pitch. We have to persist with our young forwards despite what we may be paying Green, Whitehouse etc.

AL is failing to get senior players to lead by example. Thought Pollock looked comfortable when he came on.

Rose, 3 to pass to for what could have been a tap in and chose to shoot greedy sod.

I noticed for Vernams goal he played a short pass to Vernam to go on that run and finish with aplomb. Rose ambled behind him - any striker worth their salt would have busted a gut to keep up with Vernam in case his shot was parried, or came back off a post but Rose just jogged.

I really cannot see why we have gone to such great lengths to get him ready for first-team football; there must be surely better players in non-league that could be picked up for a song.

I noticed that, he clearly still has a lot to learn and I’m not sure our hoof it up to Hanson & green style suits him TBH. He’s quick though and that’s something to build on.

If they can get goals for us we need some more of those plombs like Vernam had.
