Just checked - Chanel 971 on Freesat. BB2 Wales, in HD for good measure too. Might need to have the commentary on Radio Humberside though as the TV commentary could be in Welsh. Given that I've been to Newport a few times and never heard anyone speak Welsh it would probably not help the locals either.

Looks like United Kingdom is the only option and you have to put in a Welsh postcode.

Doesn't look like you'll be able to watch the game on Virgin.
I've changed my location to Wales, but when I go on Wednesday's schedule and click on Match Of The Day it says "This programme is not available to watch on BBC iPlayer"
Looks like I'll have to find a dodgy stream.

Just clicked it Les and every programme on Wed IPlayer tv schedule says the same "This programme is not available to watch on BBC iPlayer" so I'm bit confused think it means you can't watch it at moment til it's on or been shown.. but don't quote me!

On the listings it says "This programme will be available shortly after broadcast" so I don't think you'd be able to watch it live on there either. If it's on TV can't the club just put it on iFollow for the £10, I'd pay it if there's no other way of getting it.

I think the simple answer is that the FA Cup is not covered by the iFollow deal so cannot be streamed (either in the UK or abroad).

Through NOW TV it allows you on BBC iPlayer to change location to Wales via settings, then according to the schedule it looks like this will work? The NOW sticks can be picked up for around a tenner in some places.

You want 971 gobby, that's BBC2 Wales HD!!... I'll be glued to it from the start, told the wife to take her cute butt off to bed and put her headphones on from 7.45 as I might get a little vocal and fruity with my language. ..also locking the dogs in their cages for their own protection from flying feet!!

Yeah, S4C. Opened BBCi player app on my tablet, switched to Wales in the settings and got the game live, so assuming it can be done for BBC Wales for the Town game tomorrow.

Also got it on my smart tv on basic Iplayer by scolling along the channels at the top to S4C. May not be quite as easy on my tv trying to get bbc2 wales.

Seems to be no problem changing the region on iplayer.
I have changed regions on a chromebook and also on a tv via a bt box
I just went into iplayer , selected menu , then selected the gear icon.
One of the options is region , then scroll through and select Wales.
Just been watching the Wales highlights from the euro game.
Before it started the Newport v Town game was advertised for tomorrow.

I changed region by scrolling right down homepage, where the region is shown bottom left. This was on my PC. On my tablet, it was through the gear icon.

Thank you very much everybody for your efforts. I have just downloaded the iPlayer app for my Amazon Fire tablet on Amazon for free, which was a bit difficult getting one that was aplicable, but once I had ticked my exact model it has worked. Changing the iPlayer settings to Wales was easy and the game is there.

I have two Virgin boxes in adjacent rooms. Watched the Wales game on iPlayer through my TV but only after my Mrs logged out of Player on hers! I got English commentary via my laptop on NOWTV app but tonight it'll be J 'facking' Tondeur on IFollow.

Its not on S4C, its actually BBC2 Wales. And according to this it will not be live on the iPlayer and only available on there shortly after it has been broadcast on BBC2 Wales. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000bxw4 I think the only way to watch it live would be if you have BBC2 Wales as part of your TV package.

Just logged into iPlayer on laptop. As Pizzza says, it's not on S4C but is on Wales BBC2 schedule. LIVE. Last night there was a slight time lag between TV picture and Digital commentary.

You can just scoll down to the bottom of Iplayer to change the area to Wales but a word of warning, you will need the cookie settings turned on. I have been trying to change the area to Wales but it kept defaulting to London so seeing that it mentions that if cookies are off on the site you will lose some functionality, I turned mine back on and bingo I now have Wales Iplayer with the match showing as on at 7.30pm. Just now have to wait and hope that the "watch live" icon comes on.

Clicking on the "programme website" on the guide it is saying,as someone mentioned earlier, "This programme will be available shortly after broadcast"So maybe there isn't the chance to watch it live on Iplayer.

Usually there is a slight delay of a couple of minutes just so that it is technically not live.

I hope I'm not boring everybody with these updates but checking all the programmes on the guide of upcoming programmes it is saying the same comment so hopefully come the time of the match it will change to "watch live"

As I just mentioned before I saw your post I'm hoping that is the case. I never watch Iplayer so I'm not aware of how it works.

With regard to the game being "not live" .
I often watch BBC Breakfast on iplayer and you can tell from the time announcements
that iplayer always runs "live tv" with a delay of about 90 seconds.
Perhaps that is what it means ?
If so that's ok for me , but don't try listening to the radio commentary
whilst watching tv !!

Currently looking at Iplayer now on my PC, there is a "channels" option at the top. which shows BBC 1, BBC2 etc. including S4C

I listen to most away matches on the radio or the internet transmission with one ear, while following Jeff and Kammie etc on Sky sports news. Goals from our games are shown about at least a minute before JT announces them. So I assume tonight they won't be far out of line.

So I watch it on Sky 971, BBC2 Wales, but if it's in the yacky dah language can I get Mr Tondeur on radio Humberside at the same time, e.g. which radio station will be matched to to tv, digital or FM.

I’m slightly worried about that. Have AL and Macca had to learn Welsh in case they are interviewed ??

93 or something such like wasn't it? For a cold November night and a 500 mile round trip, that's not too shabby I bet they won't bring as many when they have to come to our place for the rearranged league game
