It is on BBC2 Wales which should be on free sat - have a look at Channel 979.

Just checked - Chanel 971 on Freesat. BB2 Wales, in HD for good measure too. Might need to have the commentary on Radio Humberside though as the TV commentary could be in Welsh. Given that I've been to Newport a few times and never heard anyone speak Welsh it would probably not help the locals either.

Looks like United Kingdom is the only option and you have to put in a Welsh postcode.

Doesn't look like you'll be able to watch the game on Virgin.

I've changed my location to Wales, but when I go on Wednesday's schedule and click on Match Of The Day it says "This programme is not available to watch on BBC iPlayer"

Looks like I'll have to find a dodgy stream.

Just clicked it Les and every programme on Wed IPlayer tv schedule says the same "This programme is not available to watch on BBC iPlayer" so I'm bit confused think it means you can't watch it at moment til it's on or been shown.. but don't quote me!

On the listings it says "This programme will be available shortly after broadcast" so I don't think you'd be able to watch it live on there either.

On the iPlayer every other programme on Wednesday says just "not available" whereas Match Of The Day says ""This programme is not available to watch on BBC iPlayer" so I don't think it'll be live via Virgin either.

Could be wrong though, we'll find out on Wednesday.

I think the simple answer is that the FA Cup is not covered by the iFollow deal so cannot be streamed (either in the UK or abroad).

Through NOW TV it allows you on BBC iPlayer to change location to Wales via settings, then according to the schedule it looks like this will work?  The NOW sticks can be picked up for around a tenner in some places.

I have changed regions on a chromebook and also on a tv via a bt box

I just went into iplayer , selected menu , then selected the gear icon.

One of the options is region , then scroll through and select Wales.

Just been watching the Wales highlights from the euro game.

Before it started the Newport v Town game was advertised for tomorrow.

Its not on S4C, its actually BBC2 Wales.

And according to this it will not be live on the iPlayer and only available on there shortly after it has been broadcast on BBC2 Wales.

I think the only way to watch it live would be if you have BBC2 Wales as part of your TV package.

You can just scoll down to the bottom of Iplayer to change the area to Wales but a word of warning, you will need the cookie settings turned on. I have been trying to change the area to Wales but it kept defaulting to London so seeing that it mentions that if cookies are off on the site you will lose some functionality, I turned mine back on and bingo I now have Wales Iplayer with the match showing as on at 7.30pm.

Just now have to wait and hope that the "watch live" icon comes on. (eek)

Clicking on the "programme website" on the guide it is saying,as someone mentioned earlier, "This programme will be available shortly after broadcast"

So maybe there isn't the chance to watch it live on Iplayer. :(

With regard to the game being "not live"  .

I often watch BBC Breakfast on iplayer and you can tell from the time announcements

that iplayer always runs "live tv" with a delay of about 90 seconds.

Perhaps that is what it means ?

If so that's ok for me , but don't try listening to the radio commentary

whilst watching tv !!

I listen to most away matches on the radio or the internet transmission with one ear, while following Jeff and Kammie etc on Sky sports news. Goals from our games are shown about at least a minute before JT announces them. So I assume tonight they won't be far out of line.  :)
