Does anyone know if the club will let you swap your season ticket stub for a seat in a different stand for a one-off?

I asked to change my ST seat to another stand, the club didn't like it but did agree to it but I would not be able to move back again. So in answer to your question move seat / stand but not return once and once only.

I asked to move my seat earlier this season as i wanted to take my two 6 year old kids and obviously wanted us all to sit together as the seats next to me weren't available. I was given a firm no. I then said can i buy 2 junior tickets thinking we would go and sit anywhere as the ground is half empty. I was told we arent allowed to sell junior tickets without an adult ticket. The kids still havent been and i won't be getting a season ticket next year

Unless I'm mistaken I'm pretty sure you can buy junior tickets without having to buy an adult ticket.

Not this season. Used to do it almost every week but they refused earlier this year and said they just don’t do it anymore. No idea why.

So how do kids buy their tickets ? It’s been a very long time since I was a junior but we used to be able to go buy tickets ourselves and pay on the gate

Hold on.
Are we really in a position where we can't move our tickets for one bloody game? We're averaging about 4,500 for home games (which includes away fans) so it's not exactly as if we're struggling for space is it? I can understand that maybe for a game like tomorrow and if it's late in the day but Christ Almighty what happened with trying to keep your customers happy?
The bit about having to buy an adult ticket to get a kids one is ridiculous. Whoever came up with that ruling needs to be held accountable or at the very least explain their decision.

Juniors can buy a ticket without purchasing an adult ticket, just because someone has made something up it doesn't make it true. Though let's all have a go at the club without fact checking, eh?

So you're saying the person who stated they were refused the sale is lying then?

Children under a certain age(I don’t know what that is) will most certainly need to be accompanied by an adult. I imagine that is where the confusion lies.

You would expect a club to not sell a 6 year old a ticket without an adult surely?

Not sure i would want to leave my 6 year old kid sit in another part of the stand on their own, The club have a duty of care and rules to do with safeguarding. It was a bit poor though not to let you move sour ST to some empty seats though

I’m guessing they wouldn’t be sitting on their own. He buys a junior ticket for another part of the stand. He goes in with his ST. Junior goes in with the bought ticket. Then finds two empty seats in that stand to sit together !!

Not junior season tickets. They would only go to a handful of games.

If you're asking to move a seat in the same stand then I can't see why it should be a problem, providing we're not expecting a sell out.. Obviously to move stand may complicate things slightly as each stand is a different price

He stated that his sons are six. Six year olds can not buy a ticket without an adult one. So before gobbing off, try taking your own advice and do some fact checking !!

You would think GTFC would bend over backwards to get as many children to attend games wouldn't you? After all they are the STHs of the future. But we're talking about a club which charges more for a children's replica kit than an adult kit so there you go.

Last season i was allowed to change my seat as long as a full house wasnt expected. Rules have changed this year so my kids haven't been and hence lost interest.

a 10 year old, a junior, can buy a ticket. On there own. Who in their right mind would expect a 6 year old to be able to buy a ticket? With child protection concerns for the club, they wouldn't be able to buy one. The fact is, a child can buy a ticket, the problem is everyone jumped at slating the club for not letting a junior have a ticket on their own (bearing in mind we later find out they are 6), which is quite commendable for me as they fulfilled their duty of care. The problem with swapping season tickets is that you 'lose' a seat in effect. Granted, this isn't a big deal generally, though if it was a crows which could potentially fill the ground then it becomes a problem. There is also the problem that as it has been done once for a small crowd, people then expect to be able to do this for every game, then kick off at the ticket office staff because they can't. A blanket ban on moving season ticket seats solves this potential headache. What I would have suggested is, the chap buys three tickets where he wants to sit. One for himself and two juniors. He later goes back and returns the adult ticket, getting his money back, An inconvenience, yes, though solves his issue.

Truly a testament to The Fishy that we’ve managed to get almost 4 pages out of this, including an argument and a convoluted impractical solution to a a different question. Excellent work all round chaps
