Scored one goal and made the other goal as Boston United beat York 2-0.

Both goals came from low crosses from the right after he had beaten a defender.

in a game like today to have him on the bench to cover a wide player coming off may be useful

I’d leave him where he is and involved every week.

Agree, no point in ruining the lad by throwing him too early into a relegation scrap. Leave him where he is!

He’s our Embleton. Let him get on with it. Will be a hell of a player next season.

He's ripping it up practically every game according to reports. If we are to play 4-3-3 with Vernam wide right, then I wouldn't see Max starting. Although Vernam never sees the 90 out so Max could well come on most games.

If we play 4-4-2, that's different. I'd see Vernam and Thomas occupying the forward positions. Max could well then start as right sided midfielder. Either way, I'd like to see him recalled in January unless Michael Jolley is certain he is behind the rest of the lads vying for places.

He is on a youth loan so can be recalled whenever we like. If we can't extend Embleton's loan and replace him then there is a serious argument for his return.

At 20 years old, he needs minutes and is playing in front of a 37 year old Ben Davies who will no doubt be passing on a lot of his experience.

I trust Jolley's judgement on this rather than getting too excited about him doing well 2 divisions below us (and whatever very low level he was playing last season).

He's shown with Clifton he's willing to put young players in. Even to the point where Clifton could now be classed as a regular, keeping experienced guys out of the team.

So IF and WHEN Max is ready for L2 football, I'm sure he'll get a chance under this management team.

Believe it or not I was trying to underline/agree with what HertsGTFC said. Badly. Don’t post when drunk everyone!

We all want to see local lads pulling the shirt out so I can understand the desires to see him play.  But as Tommy and others have said, what's the point in recalling him for him to sit on the bench/in the stands.

A.Rose has come back from his loan and whilst it will have done him the world of good to get that goal against Crawley, he's had very limited game time since returning from Boston.

I'd like to think Wright's ready for the first team in some fashion, but obviously Jolley (who sees him every day in training) doesn't think so.  I still think we're a bit limited in options in that front four, Cardwell and/or Rose can replace Thomas to an extent but it's the three behind where I feel we lack any depth, which is why it's surprising Wright hasn't had a chance or even found himself recalled.

Let us not forget that Jolley was a youth team coach at Burnley, so will know when a young player is ready for first team action better than those on this board.

Although I do share your view I would hardly describe his position at Burnley in charge of the Under 23's as " Youth Team Coach " !
