Don’t know anything but I’m fully expecting 2 more signings before the transfer window closes. Both loanees, 1 Striker and the kid from Burnley we had on trial.

Think the likelihood is that we will now get loanees in rather than signings and who these are will depend on players being seen as surplus at their current club or young potential professionals from premiership or championship clubs.

Have to accept getting players in is not easy even the mighty Imps over here are still searching for additional players despite having a decent amount of dosh for this level strengthened with the sales of Woodward & Waterfall.

Be interesting to see if MJ’ connections at higher profile clubs will bear fruit before the harvest is in...

Joan luque ? Heybridge swifts have accepted a bid from an unnamed div 2 club . Was on trial at Lincoln and looked like joining them till Akinde signed  ?

Apparently from 2 League 2 clubs. He has been on trial at Lincoln most of pre season so one of those clubs likely to be them.

If he’s been on trial all pre season I’d say he probably wasn’t all that . If u get a player on trial and he looks a quality then you’d sign him up wouldn’t you ?

Lincoln fans are pretty confident he will sign although more as a squad player to boost numbers.

No panic if we don't sign anyone immediately. As has been pointed out by others, the way the rules work with the loan window these days means that you can effectively manipulate it to permanently sign anybody who you loan before the end of the month. Obviously better if we sign somebody before then as the squad is a bit light, but no disaster if nobody joins us today.

I wouldnt say disaster but i would say dissapointing that with the season underway IF we go into the 2nd game of it without a key striker and the wingbacks to play this 352 we have set up with it is very dissapointing.

No excuse really its not like we haven't had long enough to know the window shuts today. Loans still an option but not really ideal.
