Groves would make the most impact in this side as we're desperately short in the middle, but oh to see Super Clive again, simply class.

Sorry to be boring, but it'd be Groves. Led by example. Kept himself fit. Pick a nifty pass. Scored goals.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.

He did. Against Wolves at home in the FA Cup. 88-89 season if I remember right.

The link up play between Rees and big keith, the finishing of super Clive, the wing play of Gilbert or Donovan (Kevin), the nouse of sir futch and birtles, an engine room that consisted of a groves cunnington or cockerill, the flair of a bonetti and the management skills of.........well it'd have to be Buckley the original for me

How we would dream of a dressing room with such quality

I'd want most of Conference team. (Pearson, Toto, Townsend, Tait, Arnold, Dis, Nolan, Omar, Podge, Lenny)

Solid Back line there of Townsend, Pearson, Toto and Tait.

Has to be either Groves as a goalscoring midfielder who could defend and lead too or super Clive for the goals.  Will choose Grovesy as clive more unlucky with injuries

Like the Pouton idea except he would.miss half the remaining games through suspension.

Am gonna be first to mention Gary Croft as he would sort the current left back issue out instantly

From the Town teams I grew up watching, I'd say either Groves, Super Clive or Kev Donovan. To close to call for me.... Can I be greedy and have them all?
