He said that but lets face it...they didnt play to the conditions did they ?  We definitely started the better, had the possession and were looking quite bright up until they came up our end and scored.
They then benefited from the conditions as the crowd instantly turned but initially i thought they were poor and we looked promising.

However doesnt mean to say that teams could come, park the bus, play a spoiling game and after 15 mins the crowd would undoubtedly start to grumble.

I agree to an extent Moosey but our promising start didn't really provide us with anything particularly clear cut to really take control of the game

They however took the first opportunity that came their way.... it's a long running them with us I'd say

After they scored too, I'm pretty sure everyone knew there was only one team going to win and on any other day, they could have been 3-0 up at half time if not for some clearances from Davies & Mills who both made some good last ditch clearances

Absolutely...but our lack of  goal threat in that initial quarter of the game was more our doing than anything to do with them being set up with a park the bus game plan i thought.
Never mind after they scored....I am pretty sure at 2pm when it was announced Vernon was starting most of us thought we would struggle
