The team and the squad is utter excrement. We've tolerated it by buying our season tickets, and of course people shouting 'get behind the team'. I'm sure they're good lads, and they are better than pretty much all of us on the mesageboards. But they aren't good enough, JF and the 'board' have cut corners again, we released a 37 goal centre forward FFS.

Anyway, Crewe will probably hammer us, I'd go for a 4-5-1 formation with Dembele and DJ given licence to join up with Vernon up front to make up a 4-3-3 with the ball.

I'd only go with Vernon as he is slightly better at holding the ball up and bringing others into play than the other so called strikers at the club. Expect another defeat, we somehow have a few points on board, we're having another one of our runs.

Near enough the same team. But have a different approach. Try and play football through midfield and give DJ, Dembele and Cardwell licence to roam and interchange when we're in possession.

Why would you want Cardwell in midfield wide positions?

I don't want him playing there, but I'm just desperate to see some movement when we have the ball. If he pulls wide or drops deep, and Dembele runs into a space he vacates, it's just something different for the opposition to think about.

To be honest I wouldn't play 442 ideally anyway, but with Jones out of form and J.Osborne not with us, I don't think we have enough quality to have 3 attacking players supporting a lone striker. Dembele could do the job in the middle of that 3 but then who would play out wide?

Concerning that we've got A massive squad yet are seemingly so short on serious and credible options.

I was going to start a rumour that Slade was trying to get a straight swop -Macreth for Dembelle, but I thought better of it. Don't want to give Slade ideas.

I haven't seen the team yet but I wouldn't be surprised to see Woolford in for DJ

Knowing Slade it will be

Killip

Davies
Collins
Clarke
Dixon

Dembele
Summerfield
Berret
Woolford

Vernon
Matt

The bench will be full of nothing.

Well almost right.
Just have to look who is favourites are and throw em in.
Slade has not got a clue.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Can I come round and watch it dry please. Has to be better than listening to this sh1t.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
