To all those fans who didn't Boycott and could effectively help the collapse of the smaller clubs youth and reserve system which means in theory all those who played last night in the future wouldn't have a club or would be lower down the pyramid playing... Thank you.

There were far more at the FA Youth game on Friday supporting the Mariners of the future (hopefully!)

Are any of these youngsters ready to shine in the first team any time soon? I'm sure that's where most of us want to see them shine should they be given the chance, it's been a while though...

You have a valid point, and it must have been demoralising for young players trying to make their mark. The reason I didn't go, however, is that I think it could be the thin end of a wedge which would lead to a continental-type system in  which League Two would be made up of the reserve or under-21 sides of Premiership Clubs, unable to be promoted or relegated,  and clubs such as ourselves would end up back in some sort of Conference set-up.

A lot of people, myself included,thought that boycotting this competition would entail a loss on the night to Town but it turns out that any loss will be met by the league and not the club.
