Yes Derek Niven had real nightmare game recently and he too was substituted to spare any further embarrassment, nothing went right for him. However he as played some storming games since.

Against Lincoln on New years day wasn't it? though I don't remember him being substituted.

We used to have bets when Buckley would make his first sub.
28th minute was a good bet especially when things weren't working

Went off after an hour against Hyde when Thanoj came on for him...maybe it was that one?

It's the only one recently that I can see where he was subbed and might have been upset at coming off so early

Chris Llewllyn against Morecambe at home. He'd had a mare all game but we were 2-1 up when he got himself sent off. I remember there were even some Town fans telling the ref to send him off after he made the foul. They ended up winning 3-2 with a 35 yard screamer in the last minute of stoppage time.

Neil Robinsons debut in 1984/85 at home to Oxford (who were top of the time I think).

In the first 10 minutes he'd scored an own goal AND given away a penalty.

He did improve though but we lost 2-1 in the end.

Lee Ridley, First season in this league, every game. It got that bad that he was clearly being mentioned in other teams tactics as every opponent would just take it down the right wing all game an tear him to shreds.
