I thought hatton attacked well today and when cook went off we lost our attacking threat because rankine insisted in playing on the wing with southwell and that meant that nobody was in the box

We were discussing during the game can we afford to have someone in the team for set piece deliveries and the occassional free kick strike?
His delivery was superb for the opener which set the tone early on so you could argue yes we can...but against better oponents he is exposed as too slow and casual IMO.
He got caught doing too much today and was sloppy on quite a few occassions and he was run around by his winger when they came forward, at one point throwing himself on the floor after he had been skinned.
They only had one option today and it was their left side, Bradley Wood never gave an inch today defensively.

From watching yesterday I'd have Bradders in before Hatton any day. This stuff about Hattons passing being good is rubbish, Wood tackles better, is quicker wins more headers and manages just as many successful passes as Hatton. No contest for me.

Did he, i must have missed that. Woody every time for me. Yes Hattons delivery for the goal was superb but, as has been stated earlier can we afford him in the side just for set pieces?

I don't really rate Hatton and would much rather see Wood at right back.

I was disappointed to listen to him winge on about wanting to go out on loan just because he was dropped for playing poorly and Wood was keeping him out.
