Cheers for that 80s.

Reckon we'll go 443 with what he says about cook.

Macca

Hatton
Pearson
Pond
Thomas

Niven
Thanoj
Disley

Hannah
Cook
Neilson

Harsh on marshall but reckon he'll be involed. They could keep Neilson on the bench! Hard choice. Cook is a different player in the middle of a front 3 with Hannah tucking in, hatton and Thomas getting forward aswad in particular reckon he'll have his best game yet!

Seriously though (hope you've spotted your mistake), how's your logic with that one ?
I'd have thought it MIGHT have been the opposite with them talking up Cook ?
Actually I've got my own completely different opinion on how we'll start but suffice to say I'm keeping my cards close to my chest just in case any Braintree eyes are spying. (could they be ?)
I can send you a PM though (if you're really that bothered ?   )

Was too short to be Pond or Pearson - Too stocky to be Thomas or Soares and too dark skinned to be Marshall! It's a mystery!

No probs Meza.

Just wanted to say one final word on this...

That in hindsight think it looks like a good (or at the very least a thankfully brave) decision to keep Thanoj in the team for Braintree.
Not that Derek Niven would have been a bad choice at all or that I personally thought we were completely tight especially early on.

But tbf think what Scott said pre-match and post match about Andi was spot on...
POST MATCH :- http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20278488
"And I have to say I thought Andi Thanoj was [outstanding] as well. Been on at Andi for a long time now saying the potential that he's got, we don't want to be sat here in 3 years time saying "Yeh I just wish Andi could give us that."

Yeah guess a lot of us were also wondering the same ?

For you non-MP subscribers, something you DIDN'T hear me report Scott say (for fear of giving any potential clues away about his possible inclusion) in the full Braintree preview on MP....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Matt Dean. "Has Andi Thanoj done enought to keep his place ?"

Rob Scott: "Again likewise with Andi is that we've got 3 midfielders available to us... [names them]...
So again good competition for places depending on what system we wanna go with but Andi, you know did alright [Woking], I still feel there's more to come from Andi and he's looking brighter every day in training so, we feel there's stil more to come from him but only a run of games will be able to see that so it's down to us whether he gets those or how we want to play it."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So just like Scott suspected we're now seeing that improvement THROUGH GAMES as well as the great work mentioned being done behind the scenes.

Obviously it's often "horses for courses" in terms of team selection depending on the opposition etc.
But think it would have been quite easy to leave Andi on the bench and bring him on if we needed to "turn the game" as was certainly an option.
And admittedly a difficult choice even by Scott's (and seemingly eveyone elses) own admission !

So I'm glad they made the right choice in tricky circumstances (IMO) + didn't give Dis ALL the credit post match.
Esepcially as Dis missed that sitter from 2 yards      (joke)
Talking of which though to his credit...
Anyone else notice before Dis got his goal he went over to Neilson (I think) and had a word ?
Is that something to do with practiced set piece moves on the training ground ? Wouldn't be suprised !

If you ask me to guess, whether it's set pieces, team selection or the training sessions being layed on for individual players, I get the feeling no stone is being left unturned and the finer details aren't being overlooked.

Bloody well done !

UP THE MARINERS.
