According to todays papers Southampton and Fulham are lining up a £2 million bid for Liam Trotter. He must have improved a lot to be considered Premier league class. Not saying he was bad here but didnt see that level in him.

think you could see glimpses of it when he was with us - just he was trying to play alongside such utter dross that he was dragged down to their level

He scored a belter the other week. Think he showed the quality in patches with us, but as others say, was dragged down by our other players at the time.

A good tradesman is only as good as his tools,

Trotter had a lot of useless tools ( around him ) when he was with us.

I reckon tools would take offence at being used as a metaphor for Danny Boshell.

I always used to think Trotter by name, trotter by nature...he hardly ever bust a gut when he was with us but then again maybe he didn't put in the effort because he knew that unlike us, he was destined to move on up the leagues

He was young and raw when he came to us, he has obviously progressed a matured playing in the championship at Millwall.

Good luck to him.
