The Hereford Chairman has warned that the club will shortly be unable to pay the players and face administration in the next few weeks. Makes stark reading, they are in trouble, resulting from a combination of;

    Not acting quick enough last season in getting an experienced manager in.
    Still struggling from the strain in finances from the Simon Davey era.
    Still paying ten of their players on Football League Contracts.
    Overestimated breakeven prediction for attendances
    Increasing admission prices by £2 following a relegation season.

and many more....

The future is looking bleak for them.

Surely getting Kyle Perry on loan from Nuneaton is a sign of potential impending doom! And then charging an extra couple of quid to watch him in action.

Not good.

They're probably a long way off going pop altogether though. We saw last season with both Kettering and Darlo how long a dying club can hang onto life for.

The Simon Davey era? Wasn't he in charge for about 3 minutes?

Yes ,

BUT

It was a very expensive 3 minutes.

I'd be suprised if that happened. We were made an example of; extremely harsh treatment from all concerned.

From a fans perspective I would agree with you entirely, from a creditors perspective I would hold a different view.  Something needs to be done to stop clubs living beyond their means, fans get swept along by over-optimistic/foolish/rogue chairmen/owners who treat football clubs as a short term hobby.  Thankfully we have one who, despite extremely limited success, has at least stuck to the task of keeping the club afloat.  Whether he gets the success in the future that his commitment deserves remains to be seen.  I hope so before his patience runs out.
