It's hardly "picking on" anybody. This is a very public forum, and everybody has their own characteristics that they tend to write about. Aaron does seem to have a rather unhealthy preoccupation with death, fires, disasters, etc. If he chooses to air those views on a public forum then he knows people will reply to that. Most of the replies seem to be done in a manner that does not intimidate or threaten, and some of them - knowing Aaron's fascination with gore - tend to play it down and even make fun of it. I fail to see how that could be defined as picking on someone?

Nothing is 'threatening' or 'intimidating' even but it's not about the content of the replies to him, it's about the fact that everything he says on here is scrutinised and pulled up for whatever reason... I don't see it happening to anyone else and to me it seems like he is singled out - so yes, in my eyes it is picking on him... He is 16 ffs, he will say things we don't agree with or like but he is harmless in the grand scheme of things...

Whilst I wouldn't go as far some on here for me it's a bit like the "I'm entitled to my opinion so I can say what I like" school of thought. Whilst it is true I've always thought that with freedom of speech comes some self responsibility. If Aaron wants to be taken seriously (and who knows, maybe he doesn't and is having a right laugh at his "critics") then he needs to think about what he writes or others will exercise their right to have a go at what he says. When all is said and done this is a football website for a lower league club. Maybe we all take ourselves too seriously on occasion? I suspect some of the people who have a go at what he writes are actually his mates away from here.


The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.
