These managers think they can emulate Ronnie Moore when he was at Rotherham in the championship with this ooof ball lark, these players are clearly not good at it nor will they ever be.

Need to stick it on the ground, passing, bring in a midfielder who can split the defenses, get rid of Disley imo...

Also the wingers are bloody useless, get rid of Artus, Colbeck, bring in some decent players who have a good pass rate, better control and better at crossing the ball in the final third.

I think our strikers would do alot better with better players to give them the chances they need to score.

I agree but soares has looked even worse than fartus and this is why we need a winger asap.

Ol I can't really comment much having not seen much of them play except the highlights but Soares is the only only who can play on the left at the min I'd prefer him to be in cm attacking from the centre he looked good in preseason.  Anyway today we lacked that final ball and our communication and decision making at times was poor but we did ok ish so happy with the point.

Wouldn't have called it hoofball, more direct football. The longish balls forward were often to Jones feet/chest or along the deck down the channels for Reddy to chase, (as would suit Hearn)not what we do now which is high balls in the vague direction of the opponents central defenders/corner flag.

All what our tactics are now is to hit it has hard and has high as you can, doesn't matter where it goes

On the Artus topic, he obviously played today because we wanted to be defensively stronger. He's not a winger, but he did his job as hoped today.

Talking of muppets on Humberside that fooking Nigel Lowther what a voice hes got, he must be the most boring co-commentator ever.
I hung about to listen to the game(half past midnight where I am) and he was on. Could only stand his voice for about 15minuets and had to turn off.

If you are aiming to hit a target man you need people in midfield or defence who can pass accurately at distance something we lack in both departments.

Our defence looks ok but the midfield and forward line looks as though they have not got a clue.

And more importantly you need the midfield and the the forwards to closer and at least 1 runner from centre mid to link up with the target man and help out in attack.

At the moment though its 2 banks of four with 2 very slow forwards 70 meters away with very poor movement.

Plus I think our inability to play 433 is causing us to panic now we are playing 442 because they have built the team the play 433 and no doubt was working on that in training until they realised we are even worse in that system!

Im with you Artus gets some stick and a lot of the time it isnt of his making he is a fine footballer with a decent range of passing but never in a million years is he a wideman and i would never let him near a set piece either based on todays delivery but for my money he would get either Disley or Niven`s shirt in the centre.

it is there for all to see, aimlessly lofting the ball forward in the hope that we somehow manage to create a chance. how you can you not spot this. If we aren't playing hoof ball then what game do you think we are playing then?

The first 10 mins I was thinking it was true not having seen them before this season . Once they'd settled we started using the ball better , Niven esp looking good at winning it and giving it simple . The 2nd half we took more of a control of the game having some good counter attacks that we didn't exploit . That was more to do with lack of cutting edge up front , elding being the most wasteful . Not convinced by the cookie monster either .
