Somebody at the club told me tonight that:

1. Not a happy dressing room. Quite a bit of arguing.
2. Scott is not happy here and has he has made a mistake signing.
3. The after match comment about "not being able to play here" has not been received very well by Fleming.
4. That Bill n Ben have been told "results soon or out"

It doesn't surprise me, there's no chemistry or communication between the players it's clear to see.

Ofcourseall that is true...means diddly squat though.

Discontent because they want to win.managersnothappy because it's not quite working, the club not happy with comment made in the press and of course the managers have been told about results...we all want them.

Not surprises in any of this.

1.  Not surprised that is how it should be after the way they have performed.

2. Scot may have said such a thing on the spur of the moment has been known before.

3. That sounds feasible.

4. Yep Fenty must be getting as frustrated as we are not sure he would have threatened them with the sack though.

I know what you're saying, I said this to someone yesterday on the way back, but, he's not there to be liked he's there to be the boss. It should be about players having respect for the guy, they may not like him but they need to respect whoever happens to be the manager. On the flip side of that he also has to earn it. Did every player who played for Buckley, Clough, Fergie, etc etc like them? I doubt it, but I bet they all had respect for them.

Respect has to be earned either by previous reputation (these two are hardly in the same league as those you quote) or by behaviour and demeanour and that's not exactly a strong point with one of 'em is it?

This is the problem though surely,  he isn't Buckley, Clough, Fergie etc. Its about man management and respect. This has to be earned. You can't just act like an anus and expect grown men to lick your feet and I get the impression that this is what youve got. Whats the threat let me treat you like excrement or your out of this mediocre BSP team. it doesnt really stick.

The squad does not seem to be a happy one at present, and I know for a fact (without  disclosing how I know) that the managers were talking about geting the sack in the dressing room after the game. Also one of the players who played in the game was home before me after the game having had to do the same journey.

My mistake when I said Scott isn't happy here. I wrote  the wrong name. I meant to put Cook.

So let me confirm what I was told.

Adam Scott is not happy in Grimsby, regrets signing and has told the club that he feels he has made a mistake coming here.

Sorry for any confusion.

Not sure what to say really I guess if you have someone who constantly moans but AB use to lock the players in the dressing room after a poor performance

Id have been more concerned if reports came out saying we had a happy dressing room.
dressing rooms are only really happy when teams are winning, even then theres alot of envy and back biting from the players not being picked.

As a Manager you are in that position not to be liked by any player you have to make difficult descisions nearly every week. When Laurie Mac was here we trained every Sunday morning because he believed that the game played Saturday would still be clear in your mind and you could be accountable for your performance on the Saturday.

It worked with us, I would certainly recomend it.

What a muggy fukn post, its got everything to do with us when players are openly saying they dont like scott and they are. Boylen talks about mcmenemy who had great people skills something which scott clearly lacks, passion is great and much needed but just who can shout the loudest isnt either he wises up or fuks off and leaves hurst to it

Where are they openly saying this? Lets have some solid proof rather than words of fools.

I have been told on good authority that the players want custard creams and all they are getting is ginger nuts, THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH, SORT IT OUT !!!

Baldrick ! The only impression you can do is that of a man with no talent !!
GTFC team 09/10 - Baldrick, Baldrick, Baldrick, Baldrick, Baldrick, Baldrick, Baldrick, Baldrick, Baldrick, Baldrick, Baldrick.

What makes me laugh is those who feel that shorty would make a better job of it than shouty! He may not make such a pr*ck of himself in interviews etc. but what evidence is there that he has a clue?!!

It says something when the most sense in a thread is from someone posting as a pink hippo.
Is anybody surprised people from within the club are unhappy about a point?
Would we want them to be?
No. I'm glad they are fuming about a performance like that and hope the managers laid into them, the players should be under no illusion they have to play better, they are better on paper than their recent performances suggest.
But beyond Scott on radio humberaide it should be behind closed doors, which it is unless there's proof (not here say).
So let them get on with it, we've got two tough games coming up, let's get behind them.

I don't believe this for a minute. Yes its been a crap start, but I think the players are together and will sort themselves out.

Um Bongo find this ironic coming from a Scunthorpe fan pretending he is some sort of Grimsby fan.

I know their is discontent in the squad.

I'm sorry but that is utter balderdash. I was told by a senior player (to my surprise) that he, and the other lads love playing for Scott and Hurst. They know where they stand with them and they like that. All of the team get on and there is no discontent in the dressing room just frustration that results and performances have been below par. I wish people (not just you) would stop making up rubbish to get attention.

Andy Cook, who seems to spend most of his time on twitter engaging in good natured 'banter' with Thanoj, S Pearson and Thomas, is unhappy?

Yeah, intercourse off.

As if a senior player is going to say to a fan what is going on behind the scenes..

Jesus,he is hardly gonna tell you is he...

I remember a player telling me newell was the most professional manager he has played for...think that sums it up really.
