Who is your fiend....Stevie Wonder?

No, just someone who has been able to retain a little perspective

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

This.

FFS people, that's our third game inside five days as well as (probable) intensive pre season training.  Perhaps we should all retain a little perspective!

Keep him as a friend great optimists are very rare Barralad. If you want perspective he goes: Town played well for 14 minutes and fashioned a few chances and Cook should have at least scored once. Not once did our midfield either half get going and in the entire second half we did not manage to string 2 or 3 passes together. We were gifted our goal and could have been playing today and wouldn't have scored.  We played the long ball most of the night and made it easy for them. Barton, second half Lincoln and now  last night doesn't bode well for Saturday. That's perspective- but if we manage to win on Saturday with an impressive  performance I will be on here like a shot apologising for my obvious hysterical perspective.

Pre season H&S stated before that the players will be pushed in training so that they stay the course over the season.

would be interested  to know who is the most committed of our  players within the squad.I know players like a drink(as long as they dont overdo it there's nothing wrong with it-eg like at the top where the most professional of players "Messi,Cassilas " stick to 1-2  glasses of wine a week .Reading other athletes and their training regimes its the ones who are prepared to sacrifice  everything in their pursuit of their goal that what separates the elite from the good to the mediocre.

One life,one love .

I ain't worried lets be honest would the result and performance be different if we were playing at home? Possibly we have played a lot of friendlys away from home.

I'm sure when it matters it will be a different story, lets just do our bit as fans.

Apart from Hearn, it was a full strength town but we looked feeble going forward. Time and time again, Shaun Pearson and Ford would just hoof it up for a goal kick despite passing options being available. Major improvement needed for Southport

Stalybridge last paragraph of match report!!!!
Grimsby were looking for an equaliser to salvage some pride, but their best efforts were fielded by Ralph and he finished it off with a reaction save having seen Craig Disley’s shot late.

All in all, it showed what a couple of weeks of training can do.
